What $250 Will Get You

I thought it might be interesting to share the last $250 I've spent on books versus the same amount I've recently spent on Tenyo, so I've uploaded them both in a single photo. The caveat here is that I've recently scored some excellent finds on the book side, and I've also been acquiring some of the...

Re: Restoring Superstick (T-97)

Thanks for chiming in John. I wonder whether you think I have more to gain or lose in terms of the value of the product, by attempting to restore the dice. I could, after all, keep the originals in storage while creating new custom ones for my regular performances. Is it worth the effort to tweak th...

How has the color held up on yours? And do you perform this in combination in with any other Tenyo pieces? I'm thinking of performing Superstick, then combining it with Crash Dice to segue into a longer routine.

Restoring Superstick (T-97)

I recently acquired a Superstick that needs to be restored. I assume that the "gems" can be sourced from a craft/bead shop and cut by a jeweler. Does anybody have any suggestion though on how to best restore the white color of the dice so that they more closely resemble the ones seen here http://fun...

Re: Johnnie Ace Palmer

Johnny is an incredible talent, and has probably been honored by the Academy of Magical Arts more times than any other performer. The link above is essentially the same show he recently performed at the Magic Castle close up room. I was there with four other adults who were reduced to babbling incoh...

Re: T-160 Fantastica

Here's a routine I found by accident with two Fantastica cases = https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1nOIzLeGpMg . I love that routine! Such an excellent use of disparate, and in this case, duplicated gimmicks. I'm assuming that this performance could be followed up with Angelo Carbone's 'shrinking car...

Invisible Zone + Lubor’s Lens

Being new to Tenyo the amount of effects one suddenly finds him or herself coveting can seem overwhelming. So to help me choose my acquisitions more strategically I’m hoping to share some of my routining ideas in the hopes that doing so will help either affirm or dispel my notions, which in turn wil...

Re: Lubor's Gift - An Alternative Parabox?

Lubor's gift is made of cardboard (as far as I can tell, I don't own it), which may cause you issues when trying to compress large sponge balls. I'd imagine it would create suspicious bulges, or even ruptures to the cardboard. That's a very helpful piece of speculation actually. I can't help but wo...

Lubor's Gift - An Alternative Parabox?

Forgive me because I don't own either Lubor's Gift or Parabox, but I recently came across the former here: http://www.penguinmagic.com/p/4189 As this shares the same inventor and a similar magical effect as Parabox, I was wondering whether there is a way to essentially use Lubor's Gift to perform a ...

Re: Year 25 in magic. Month 1 in Tenyo

Welcome Ron! Where are you from? I’m from Los Angeles, where I was born and raised. When I was a young child my parents pointed out the magic castle to me once and I thought it looked just like Disney’s Magic Kingdom which piqued my interest. Years later I would have the privilege of becoming a jun...

Year 25 in magic. Month 1 in Tenyo

Hello everyone, I wanted to take a moment and introduce myself. My name is Ron Leshem in case the cleverly titled user name wasn’t clear enough, and I’ve been an avid magician both as a professional, hobbyist and most recently magic creator, since I was 12 years old (25+ years ago). For the overwhel...
