Re: Hello from Richard Kaufman
That spectrum harbours a lot of awfully creative people! I have to say that in searching through the posts on here, the common theme has been one of warmth and friendliness. In response to this thread, I've seen far less elegant ways to deal with posts under a pseudonym. Both on the part of the memb...

Re: New Magic Wagon: Monarch Prediction Chest
Thanks for the details. When I read "a true mechanical marvel..." I get excited. I play with mechanical pocket watches and locks. I'm working on a Gerlitz-Stotz prediction watch. I doubt I'll come across one to examine any time soon so will likely fall back to "not sure how they did it...but this is...

Re: New Member from Canada
It struck me this New Years just how much basic science I've forgotten over the years. I have a couple nieces in Calgary who give "uncle Doug" a call now and then for science homework help. I try to pawn them off onto my wife (a family doc) but eventually, it comes back to me. So far - so good. Heav...

Re: New Magic Wagon: Monarch Prediction Chest
I received mine too yesterday. First, I didn't understand the instructions :) Later, the evening, I watched it again, and then I finally discovered the secret thing. That is a good point of course about the examinability of this chest! It is a great item, with all the small parts that had to be put...

Re: New Member from Canada
Seems my efforts will pay off! I certainly am looking forward to some brainstorming. I've found the "what still stumps you" thread - some clever thinking there! Thanks for the warm welcome! Doug There is probably a lot more in the Members Only Section. You are almost there. You just need to complet...

Re: New Features Added to Sister Website
This may be an obvious question, but is there a handy link to the "sister website"?
It might take me a while to "wander" around to find the answer - if I've completely missed the boat on this one
(ie a really simple search), please delete!
Thanks
Doug

Re: This one baffled me...
Not sure where funstuff is on the issue of exposure, but it seems to me that the last phase of the routine gives the method away. Of course it could be that the disappearance of the third cube and its appearance in the box is by a simple s***l method that is in no way involved in the overall effect....

New Member from Canada
Hi Guys, I'm a retired doctor from Canada. Been interested in magic for most of my life and included it in my work for many years. Now, I'm interested in developing props and gimmicked effects with my metal shop. I was a chemist before medicine so that has been useful with magic as a hobby. I'm look...
