Re: Specially Boxed Tenyo

K Richard! I wasn't aware of the revised 'Up Down Ball' section in Vol.2 Tenyoism.(P.882) That's a wonderfully described DIY project of 'Up Down Ball' that is totally within my 'craft' skills. I look forward to starting this soon!......just another extra benefit to Tenyoism! :D I'll email you about ...

Re: Specially Boxed Tenyo

Very excited! Found my first specially boxed Tenyo to purchase; TC-03 Gorilla Bars ......hope to have it in the next week or so... :D Now search begins (will it take months or years?): Evaporating Glass and Water (for me, the routine is wonderfully magical) and/or Paddle Parade Collection (this set ...

Re: This one baffled me...

Ha!....I thought so too...... What I did like is that the spectator is left to examine two actual pin holes

Re: This one baffled me...

Two Percent Tacks baffled me......especially since everything can be examined at the end.
Perhaps a good example of magic with everyday objects, in this case desk items you might have in your home
or office.

Collecting before Tenyo

So......what was everyone collecting before Tenyo? I imagine many of us might have started collections of other magic producers like the master craftsman Alan Warner or Magic Wagon. Any collections in fields other than magic? In my case, after college, I started collecting first editions of my favor...

Re: Dream Journal

I agree...Penguin is a class act as far as dealers of magic are concerned, and their pricing is always competitive. They usually have video to go with any effect they sell. I received Dream Journal a few days ago, but have not had the time to play with it ( a few too many Tenyo packages arriving at ...

Re: Tricks Co LTD

Well.....it seems that tricksupply.com does a bit of specialty with Japan magic in general and Tenyo and Trick Co. in particular. I purchased three Trick Co. items: 1) The Houdini Card Escape 2) Chips To Anything and 3) Visual Silk Escape (Out of Prison).....we'll see how this goes! I'll post some c...

Tricks Co LTD

As a new Tenyo enthusiast and collector, I've spent quite a lot of time on YouTube watching demos of various Tenyo effects. Quite convenient we all live at a time where multiple presentations of magic tricks are at our fingertips so we can judge and evaluate! It's impossible not to notice the videos...

Re: Greetings from Los Angeles

Hi Rob, Nice of you to take the time to say hello! Yes the hillside fires can be a big problem when the humidity is low and the winds are blowing, and you live in the hillsides. Cooler where I am near Santa Monica (ocean breeze keeps us cool). When I was younger and before I was married I did many t...

Greetings from Los Angeles

Hi Everyone, I'm Mark and live in L.A., and happy to be part of this amazing forum! Like bees drawn to honey, it was inevitable that I would find myself here among fellow Tenyo collectors and enthusiasts! Though not a magician by trade, I've been a fan of magic for years, and a great admirer of tale...
