"Well...That didn't work"

Always with the curious mind; I have yet another question for the forum-ites.

And I know this is a pro-Tenyo forum, but like all products, there are some that just don't go as well as advertised.

With that said, what Tenyo have you acquired with high hopes that didn't meet your expectations?

Re: T-072 Flash Dice

This was the second magic trick I acquired back when Magic Works was a thing. Mystery Dice was the name. I got the trick with no box and no instructions. So I didn't get the MOST out of Mystery Dice, but I did spend an entire day screwing around with dice combinations. The problem in my case was tha...

Re: T-155 Crystal Cleaver

this was the start of my tenyo journey, I still have mine from when I was about 9. I saw it advertised on Saturday morning tv, saw it in tescos, got it home, opened it up, discovered the secret and was hoooooooked! my favourite for sentimental & mechanical reasons combined. This trick was the first...

Milton Bradley Magic Works

I'm full of questions I'm looking to track down some of the Milton Bradley Magic Works originals. Right now I'm hunting down youtube videos to see if anything of them would look fun for my daughter and I to use. I'm curious if anyone has any experience with these: Secret Slate Eye of the Pharaoh Mis...

Re: Better Performance? Crystal Cleaver or Dragon's Altar

Well now!

The tribe has spoken and my wallet thanks all of you. Crystal Cleaver it is!

Especially since DA works better as, and forgive me if the terminology is wrong, a sucker trick.
That would not be a good angle as a hospital magician.

Better Performance? Crystal Cleaver or Dragon's Altar

I'm looking into getting some Tenyo tricks for my daughter and eventually volunteer as a hospital magician. My question is which 'platform' trick performs better? Crystal Cleaver or Dragon's Altar? I'm familiar with Crystal Cleaver as I used to have the Magic Works version; and Dragon's Altar defini...

Re: Collecting Milton Bradley"s Magic Works.

I'm all about performing with the originals of the Magic Works line.

I think there are some neat routines that you can build around them.

They seem to be in low quantity these days.

New to Tenyo

My name is Hurley. Just retired from the military. My daughter has had a fascination with magic for a good part of the year and it's re-sparked my interest in magic when I was a lad. I started with a magic starter kit and most of series 1 of Magic Works, to include Mystery of a Dark Stranger (which ...
