Re: T-132 The Ninja Experiment

Will the pencils damage the foam after constant use? I use the spikes of Nail Box from Fantasma Magic Set instead of pencils to put less strain on the foam. It is not as effective as pencils but I just want to make sure that I will not damage this expensive prop. I gave this trick a perfect score ev...

Tenyo Goldfish Trick

While going over Robert Albo's books on apparatus magic I came across a Tenyo trick using goldfish. The trick is similar to Telesphere but uses goldfish instead of balls. The props are two metal tubes and two glass tubes mounted on plastic bases. The effect is a transposition. I have read of a simil...

I like the video. The chain makes the trick more deceptive.

Re: T-130 Tricky Business

Tricky Business is an excellent piece but my problem with this trick is that it does not work all the time with the cards provided. Maybe it is because of the humidity in my country that makes the cards not stiff enough to work properly. I have tried it with smaller plastic coated cards and it works...

Re: Shigeru Sugawara

The ring and ribbon trick is a very visual magic routine but I did not get this trick because I think that the method is exactly the very thing that the spectators suspects. The Eight Penetration seems like an ingenious mechanical card that we Tenyo Collectors will like but will not be appreciated b...

Re: T-251 Flying Carpet

My kids really like this one so I do it pretty often. I always get one of 3 reactions: 1. Wow! That really cool! 2. Big Deal. It's just 3D glasses 3. What am I supposed to be looking at? Reaction #3 is from a number of people I've encountered that just can't see the effect for some reason. I make a...

Re: Best tenyo magic trick to perform for interviews

My advice is: You should select a trick which you are quite comfortable performing (you have done it many times and you had great reactions). Try to avoid tricks that you just learned recently. You might want to do something which is examinable, has no angle issues and the performance is relatively...

Re: Collecting Milton Bradley"s Magic Works.

I like your collection Elliot, especially the magic sets. I have about a dozen Magic Works items. Most are second hand pieces from auctions. I just checked the condition of the tricks and all were placed in a storage box. The twister that I have is dismantled. I cannot reassemble it. Someday I will ...

Re: Happy April Fools Day!

Nice prank! First, I was fooled by Jaime but he immediately told me about it. After reading the posts of Luf Lirpa, I thought it was Rob. But I had doubts because Luf is just as rude as Steen Schmidt. When David and Rob began making jokes I thought Luf was John. It never enter my mind that it was Si...

Re: Teller's Wins Lawsuit to Protect His Most Prized Trick

I have witnessed this performance in Las Vegas from a first row seat. It was a very dramatic and artistic performance but the trick did not baffle me. I am sure that a number of magicians will figure out how this trick works. The beauty of this trick is in the presentation and not the method. Watchi...

Re: Collectors alert: Zauberbutike's Art Theft Deluxe Editio

I received mine last week and had the same problem with the stands but they are easily glued. The effect is nice and the presentation is new but the quality of the frames and paintings are not so good. The price is quite reasonable for the props and the routine. I like the gimmick wallet that comes ...

Re: Amazing Magic Videos

Performing 15 Tenyo tricks in 5 minutes can be done but it will take lots of practice. The performance of a trick maybe short but the introduction and disposal of the props is time consuming. For example, I can perform T-100 Two Into One Rope in 5 seconds but it will require 4 seconds to pick up the...
