Re: Your favourite rare tenyo piece!

While I am familiar with the phrase 'it never hurts to ask'. There is also 'tact' and 'knowing your limits'. Asking for help with starting your Tenyo collection was one thing. And from what I understand, you did receive help on that front from people here. But now asking about giving discontinued an...

Re: Lie Detector Animation Frame

I can't believe I didn't comment on this yet. I thought I did. I actually did not. That makes me a ding-dong. Your presentation got me to actually look at Animation Frame analytically. Never really considered it in the past. This is a fantastic way to do everything. The cards look amazing as well. W...

Well. I've been married for 9 years. And it seems that everyone around us is either married or just past the proposal phase, unfortunately.

I'd like to see and know what you're thinking about though.

Re: Magic schools

Well. For all intents and purposes, there's the Jeff McBride Mystery School. Which is like to do one day (the full-on stay there and learn course). If you really want to improve Magic presentation, I'd look up a book (more like a manual) called 'Boffo' by Christopher Thisse. That guy is all about th...

Re: New tenyo plus one just announced!

This is what Google Translate comes up with: I will show four types of cards with pictures of chocolate one by one. After picking one of them and remembering it, wrap the 4 sheets in the paper. If you strongly imagine the chocolate you choose, only the corners of that chocolate will be missing! Suc...

Re: Your favourite rare tenyo piece!

My collection, if you'd call it that, is very piddly. Mostly common stuff, little bit of discontinued stuff, and then 1 really rare item. Big Mac Cubio. This is by far my favorite performance piece in my inventory. Of the 3 McDonalds Tenyo promos, the Cubio is the only one without blatant McDonalds ...

I saw this on my Facebook feed as well.

The only thing I can visualize is a similar trick to the bite/restore Oreo cookie.

But since Tenyo likes to use card stock in their +1's, I'm not sure how this'll play out. I also tried looking for pictures and I have nothing.

Re: A big massive thank you to the main man John Mazza

I have also been a recipient of GTK, that I hope to repay one day. John is a stand up guy. He's constructed an amazing place for Tenyo fans to gather and an incredible (free) catalog of many of Tenyo's works.

Re: 2018 tenyo

I did not say that the Bich trick is a card trick, and things are always in flux until the line actually comes out in September. Tenyo has demonstrated items at the Tokyo Toy Show that have never been marketed. They use the venue to test ideas and sometimes eliminate or change handlings completely ...

Re: 2018 tenyo

Then if you look at the other Tenyo tricks that came out that year, there's a year that Tenyo put out tricks without putting out any card tricks. It seems like there were plenty of years where they didn't put out any card tricks. God bless, Jason Scott Irelan Tenyo has always had a smattering of ca...

Not really. It's a restoration that just happens to use a card.

Sooo I know its early still, but anyone have any hints or guesses on the new 2018 line?? Personally, I'd REALLY like to see more things that stray away from card and selection predictions. Between 2016 and this year, I've had my fill of prediction magic. I was a little bit disappointed that 2017 ha...

Re: I wish Tenyo would offer this type of deal

With magazines, you can get up to a two year subscription. I wish Tenyo would offer a deal where you can get a two year subscription to their tricks. Of course, that might mean getting a crappy one if they put one another one as bad as Flying Carpet; but it would be worth the risk. I don't know wha...

Re: Best/worst Magic Works exclusive

I have a question:

Invisible Hook. I know it's a rubber fish. After all these years, had it aged well? Do they have cracks and show signs of age and wear? Or does it depend on how it's been stored all these years?

I wonder why no one has ever posted demos of any of the Magic Works Electronic Talking Toys on YouTube. The only one I see there is a brief television commercial for all 3. For some reason, I don't 'get' electronic magic. I know there is a degree of brilliance that goes into them, especially for th...

Forum seems to be in a bit on Magic Works. All right. Looking at the whole collection, about 1/3 of it is non-Tenyo Magic Works exclusives, also made by Mark Sudecatti. Here's the list: - Eye of the Pharaoh - The Hidden Sun - Secret Slate - Missing Masterpiece - The Map to Skull Island - Tongue Tied...

I did a Google search for Luber's Ashtray, and the first thing that came up looked like a bigger version of Parabox except it didn't produce any balls. It also has a price tag that's ten times as high as Parabox. Why did he put the same trick out twice when the bigger one doesn't do as much? Parabo...
