Hmmm... I didn't think to check, but I'll have a look later today, once the turkey is in the oven. :)

Re: 2018 tenyo

Interesting... 3 of the 4 new items do not yet have downloadable English translations. Fortunately, Daisuke provides the SEO customers with videos explaining each of the tricks. Nice touch! Not sure if it was just my bad timing, or that the Tenyo site was having issues when I first checked, but all...

Re: Recreating Tenyo

I can't understand why Tenyo Elite couldn't come up with something as nice as this. Especially at the price they are asking. This is a great trick, deserving of an Elite version, but the TE design team really should have put more thought and effort into their new release.

Re: 2018 tenyo

Did you see that SEO is offering the 2018 series along with the 2017 plus one item (provided that you buy all four and allow them to "carefully" remove the rabbit)?

Re: Tenyo Elite

I like what Tenyo Elite is trying to do, and I realize that they can't just pick and choose the items that they most want to offer, but $250 for this (plus $25 S/H) is insane. I'm sure that they are paying a ton for the rights to reproduce, and hoping that the limited nature of these remakes will dr...

Welcome Harvey!
I have a few magic friends in Hawaii. They tell me that there's a pretty active magic scene there. I believe that Paul Harris was there for a while, as well.

Count me "jealous!" Looking forward to getting my hands on these.

I love that you shared your initial thoughts. The anticipation each year is a big part of what makes Tenyo so special to me.

Thanks, Richard!

I received my copy of the book a few days ago. I'm finally going to devote a bit of time to it today, and looking forward to it! It's very nicely laid out, and has many pictures of the original apparatus.

Re: New MAGIRO book!

Thanks for the heads up, Rob. I took the plunge, and will simply work my way through the translations slowly. Too bad it's not offered as an ebook for international buyers. That would make it easier to copy and paste into a translator. Either way... I'm looking forward to receiving it, and I appreci...

Re: Written Instructions a Thing of he Past?

I'm with you . I understand the cost savings of providing downloads, and I wouldn't mind as much if it meant that addendums would be added to create even greater value, or to further explore the nuances of a particular trick, or to expand on a trick based on the feedback from other magicians. Manusc...

Re: IBM/SAM convention

I went to Magi-Fest a few years ago and had an absolute blast. It was the year that they brought in Juan Tamariz, which made it all the more special. The last couple of years have been plagued by bad weather which may be okay for the local folks, but some friends of mine from the Pacific Northwest (...

Re: Sugawara's Ring and Ribbon Back in Stock

I just returned home and found that my Sugawara Ring & Ribbon had been delivered. I'm hosting a lecture tomorrow, so I'll either start playing with this later this evening or sometime on Sunday. From what I can see at first glance I would agree with the "not for close-up" statement, but we'll see...

Re: Bicycle Elite Edition Playing Cards

I completely agree with Richard's comments about these cards (which I actually like very much). I also appreciate that the box is slightly bigger than the deck, if you happen to want to add a few cards (for whatever reason :)). Can't complain about the price, and the added gaffs are a nice touch, as...
