Re: Most Deceptive Penetration effect!

Yes, congrats to Kent. Well deserved. He is clearly a pioneer in this area, and he shows that using 3D-printing to manufacture small quantities of unique and attractive magic products is feasible. His work is inspiring, no doubt.

Re: Most Deceptive Penetration effect!

I've removed my post about figuring it out, as it was too close to exposure. I did not mean to do that, so I removed it.

Re: Most Deceptive Penetration effect!

Great videos of great effects. Kudos.
My biggest concern is what angles these new effects have. Can you perform surrounded?

I agree this is a great trick, thanks for posting about it. If I can figure it out, I may well try to recreate it.

Yes, hadn't seen that before. I think I can guess how most of it's done, though.

Funny you should link to that, I was browsing YouTube yesterday, and actually watched that very video.
Great act, even if the trick itself was simple enough. :-)

One more question: Will it be sold as instructions only, or is it sold as physical props/gimmick?

Rob, the finger penetration effect you refer to, is that the one shown in Roberto's video here (number 4):

Re: 2018 tenyo

Yes, putting it under pressure might remove the slight bend completely, but I don't think it's worth the risk. Here's my idea to get rid of the paper clip: smart_guillotine2.jpg smart_guillotine3.jpg And how it looks before performing: smart_guillotine1.jpg This way the blade can be presented on bot...

Re: 2018 tenyo

It seems to work fine, and now that I've left it assembled in the stand, it is only very slightly bent. I'm not going to bother returning it.

A picture of my idea to lose the paperclip will come later today. It's a very basic idea, though.

Re: 2018 tenyo

Today I received my first genuine Tenyo item, the Smart Guillotine. And I'll say I agree that it is smart. I had no idea until I tried it, and it is a real fooler. My unit was slightly bent (the transparent part of the main unit), unfortunately, but it could be straighted to a useable state without ...

Thanks! It was a lot of fun making it too, even if it was a long process with many failed prototype parts.

My most complicated marble machine

Even if it is completely unrelated to magic, it is closely related to designing and 3D-printing (which most definitely can be used to create magic props), I thought perhaps someone in here would like to see a video of my most complicated 3D-printed project to date: 5xqgKDur2Vw It took a lot of effor...

This version looks stunning! Much nicer than the Elite version. I do some occasional woodworking myself, and getting as nice a finish as you have here takes some skill. Impressive! This is a trick I really like, and I think most spectators are baffled by it, and it isn't necessarily that easy to fig...

Madison, just wanted to let you know that I really like your work on the Youtube channel. I've watched a lot of your videos, and it was one of the things that convinced me to pick up magic again. I like that you showcase the 3D-printed tricks from Kent Bergmann, of which there are some that I cannot...

That was really something else! I love the scene you're showing, and the casual way you show the magic (which I must admit I don't understand, but that's part of the fun).

Well done!

Greetings from the north

Hi all! My name is Øyvind, and I'm a middle-aged (hurts to say it) Norwegian. My history in magic is very old, and unfortunately also very short. I've always been fascinated by magic, and as a teenager (nearly 30 years ago), I had a few small performances where I grew up (small countryside place), i...
