Re: T-177 Phantoma

This is just a "Glorpy" with a second prop added to it only so they could sell it as a new product. The little house is unnecessary and detracts from the effect.

Just use the high-quality "Glorpy" hank you get with the trick and you can't beat it.

Anyone have any problems with the spectator being able to pull the card out? That happens to me once in a while.

Re: Which Tenyos should you preferably buy brand new?

Had a Sidetrack that was broken, and it came out of a shrink-wrapped package. No luck fixing it. Kind of tricky.

Re: Forget me not coin

I've seen photos of this trick, but don't own one. Does anyone who does own one ever tried doing the pencil rubbing to see if it looks any good?

The instructions state that you can roll up a dollar bill the long way and use it to cut that. It works better than a finger, and is even better if you borrow the bill.

Re: Greetings from Jimmy Z

I rarely perform. Too nervous, even with self-working tricks like Tenyo. I like to study the principles in a scientific way.

Re: Which Tenyos should you preferably buy brand new?

I'm lucky enough to have a Sidetrack. Of all the Tenyo tricks in my collection, this is by far the most fragile because the gimmick is made of cardboard. If you grasp the center section of the card that is pulled out by the far end, and try to push it back, it's very easy to bend this piece. That's ...

I had this same trick as a kid, when it was put on the market by Lou Tannen's Magic Shop in New York City and called "Room for Doubt."

Re: The Last Piece to the Puzzle s

The spring flowers which have threads attached to the ring were made by Tenyo and called "Flower Ball." They have no T-number. Bought one of these from my local magic dealer as a kid.

Re: Tenyo with a manufacturing defect?

I used to work in the plastics industry, and this type of problem is not uncommon. Usually it's caught during quality control and the pieces--if it's a good factory--never enter the marketplace.

Re: Tenyo Sets

I'd really like to have that Tenyo Mickey Mouse magic set I saw on some auction. It only had three tricks in it. One looked like Water Suspension. I think the other was Mr. Rabbit done with Mickey shaped sponges. Could not see the third trick because the instrucitons were over it in the photo, but t...

Prices seem to go up and down all the time. Does your site show an average price over time for an item like Ultra Tube?

Tenyo stuff seems to be sold for so much cheaper in Japan! Magic shops in America seen to charge like two or three times the price!

Re: Finally found an Ultra Tube!

Have a small number of Tenyo items, but got both the plastic and wooden versions of Ultra Tube. The plastic one definitely works better, but people think it is tricked in some way. The wooden one is less suspicious even though it gets stuck sometimes.

Hey Tenyo Friends, I have been a life long collector of many things and one of those things is Tenyo. I have about 120 different items, mostly recent. Hope to learn more here!
