Tenyo +1 CHARISMA (2012) Tomoyuki Shimomura

Post by VictorS » Fri Sep 20, 2019 12:24 am

Good day everyone ! Today I would like to show you a short and quick effect CHARISMA created by Tenyo clever mind Tomoyuki Shimomura in 2012. The original version came as packet trick with gaff cards but I made it in Bicycle version and include it into the whole normal deck. It probably looks more natural for the spectator.

In this video, I collaborated also with my lovely daughter Shannon who played the piano. I hope you enjoy this. Thank you ! :) :)

Thank you Peter. Unfortunately Charisma become very rare now. I do not have the original prop too and that's why I made myself a set. The gaffed cards are possible to make but still lots of work required. Unless we just print out the gaffs from the original prop and make the cards out of it. That would be the easiest way if you want to try out :)

Great performance Victor! And wonderful music by Shannon!

And I have no idea how the court cards changed into aces ... :o

It’s a clever trick!

I have never seen this one. Smooth handling you make it look so easy. Really nice music by your daughter it fit the presentation nicely.

Thanks Ralf and Richard for your compliments. My daughter will be very happy to hear it. Yes, Charisma is unfortunately becoming a rare +1 trick nowadays. It is a nice packet trick full with gaffs.

There's also a great demo of this by Shimomura on the Tenyo Scrapbook DVD (for owners of Tenyoism). Richard's reference of DeLand, coupled with a careful viewing (actually multiple viewings) of Shimomura's handling, helped me to identify and create a set of the necessary cards.

Nice job on your gaffs, Victor! They do, indeed, take some work.
