Tenyo Clean Cut - The S. Widodo Tip

Post by VictorS » Fri Jul 24, 2020 12:19 am

Hi everyone,

After almost 30 years when Hiroshi Kondo invented Clean Cut, I finally met a new friend, Mr. S.Widodo from Indonesia. Unbelievable ! He explained his move by coincidence in a hotel in Hong Kong right after he bought the prop. I never understand this move until he told me and it makes me smile. This move is a subtlety to show that the rope is really cut, connected and restored, the movement of the cut part is very convincing.

This move also written in Tenyo Catalog and Tenyoism by Richard Kaufman. Mr. Widodo was awarded by Tenyo on finding this good idea.

Hope you enjoy it ! :)

Fantastic!, what a great idea to push the sections of rope back in, it really elevates the illusion!

This is really a very nice subtlety, which makes this effect even more convincing!

Yes, I enjoying to do it myself too, it looks so cool. Haha. And it`s quite logical to push forward the rope before restore it. You have to try yourself.
