Re: Wonder Window, glass board or Mystery Triangle?
Well when I saw the trick I thought the same, but it's just not possible because of the numbers he wrote on the glass ... . I'm scratching my head here on how it works!vsuperanto wrote:No David, the version you showed me looks much better comparing to this oneDavid DeTenyo wrote:Great trick! I happen to own Magic Wagon's Impossible Glass Penetration (http://www.magic-wagon.com/ProductDetail.asp?id=105) - I believe this is the trick you are refering to Victor?

By the way the version you showed me should be very similar with Fred Kaps one.

Correct! But Fred Kaps performs it with superb misdirection and subtleties to get the spectator to think away from the actual method.Roberto B. wrote:I think it uses similar mechanics than the Sutekina Trick from Tenyo.

Re: Wonder Window, glass board or Mystery Triangle?
I agree, this is something that could be relatively easily build by one of our engineers Simon, Rob or Victor in a nice, close-up, wooden version.
And/or someone can send this idea with a few adjustments to the Magic Wagon folks
Why not share our ideas in the closed forum to make this close-up and add some nice extra's to it that make it examinable and easy to work with?
I'm going to start a new thread

Done. See here: viewtopic.php?f=34&t=779
I'm going to 'delete' parts of what you guys wrote, we're a bit to 'open' because everyone can read this thread. I hope you don't mind!

Mystery Triangle looks like some medallion from an alien people.

Re: Wonder Window, glass board or Mystery Triangle?
That's and interesting observation. I agree.
Now does anyone have the balls to drill a hole in their Mystery Triangle?
I have done some drastic things with some of my props, but always in the back of my mind is what will this be worth in the future. I think Mystery Triangle will be $100 within a couple of years.
If you want it, get it now. We have warned about Mobile Illusion and Prison Box recently and now they are solid $100 tricks.

Sure John. There are so many good knock off of the MT here in Indonesia and I can do anything with that one. What`s the Idea behind it John ?JohnM wrote:That's and interesting observation. I agree.

Me too. I painted black my original Phantoma House and I BURNED it with fire because I don`t like the original one. I didn`t regret it and I`m not kidding guys. The original one looked really like a toy house for me. Mine looks like burned old haunted house now. It is still working like the original one. Sorry guys if some of you didn`t agree with my action. But I think that`s how the house should looks like.JohnM wrote: I have done some drastic things with some of my props...

I think that looks great. I think you have to engineer your props to suit your style of performance. I love making my own add-ons or replacement parts for some effects (not just tenyo) to give an aged look and make the trick more realistic. I think what happens is (understandably) is that if an effect is to me made en masse then production methods have to be employed to keep costs down. take Angelo carbones mini morphosis, his original was wooden I think but tenyo obviously had to change to plastic. I have a wallet trick called heirloom which involves an antique photo and letter. both are printed on glossy photo paper and look brand new (and the letter is 'written' in a handwriting font from a word processor) immediately the story you weave whilst doing the trick about these being antiques is bollocks, but it's not too hard to re-write the letter and distress the photo. you can often find antique, empty notebooks on eBay so you even get the smell right.
I find it all quite fun

On the Tenyo Blog there are a couple of picture of a repainted Phantoma by a modeler called Marlowe. Very nice job!
