Crash Dice...Dice

Post by Brett H » Tue Sep 02, 2014 6:52 pm

One of the tricks I'm heavily looking into now is Crash Dice. I have one question.

The red die that comes with the trick to change the color; what size is it?

I'm guessing it's a 16mm die.

I don't have the trick as of yet, but I want to make sure I have a hearty supply of giveaway blue dice before I start performing it at the hospital. I just want to make sure I have the right size dice.

Also, does it matter if you use dice with rounded corners as opposed to sharper corners?

Any help is greatly appreciated

It is the standard size. Any standard sized die should.

If you wind up buying it let me know I have a large bag full of transparent colored dice (red, green, purple, blue) that I can sell you for a small price. I bought them for a project and they are not top quality so I did not use them but they are perfect for giving away.

Awesome! That's great that it takes standard dice!

I will let you know when I get it. But it will be a bit after I sell my old uniforms In October as I'll be getting a few other tenyo at the same time

Yes Flash Dice uses the smaller dice as does Tower of Dice.
Space Towers uses the larger size dice that Crash Dice uses.

Here is an interesting routine for Crash Dice that I came up with a while back.
It also uses a Fantasma Dice Cloning trick which is the same thing but it comes with a large black die instead of the large white die.
Basically i stack one box on top of the other. I have the white die in the top box and the black die in the bottom box. I give them a shake and the dice instantly switch places. The white die is now in the bottom box and the black die in the top box. Sort of makes it into a penetration type trick.

Nice idea Elliot. Thanks for sharing this ;)

Talking about white and black dice, this reminds me again to the effect I submitted to Tenyo few months ago....The Mystic Dice. Although I was rejected, it was a cool experience to get in touch with development team ;)

This is really beautiful and too bad that they did not select it! Maybe someone else would be willing to manufacture and sell it?

That has Tenyo written all over it. It is the perfect size and everything. They are a tough nut to crack but maybe now with the passing of LF there will be more opportunity.

Thanks Simon and John B. I did approach MW for this but seems that the trick didn`t really fit to their product portfolio. At the other side, I need to find the suitable material for this in order to make the illusion perfect. Well, let see, maybe someday.

Lubor Fiedler is unbeatable John. I`m very jealous with his genius mind. If you would ask me, whose brain in the world you would like to borrow for minutes ? Lubor Fiedler would be my answer ;)

Greets John,

I would like to buy a couple of the Green, Purple, and Blue dice.

I have Casino dice which are not useful for Tenyo tricks. I want to be able to do different routines with TOD, Space Towers, etc, so they must fit, and work well with Tenyo "tube" tricks.

Please advise, and thank you very much,
Bob~
and now, on with the show ...

I can sell you the ones that I bought in bulk for a deal, but I think you would enjoy top quality.

I bought the better dice from Kardwell.com

What I bought in bulk is like getting an Indian manufactured trick where it is not well finished.

I agree. I just received 4 Lubor tricks and they have a very distinct cleverness to them. I'd be afraid id get lost in his head. Didn't Tenyo say that they were going to produce some other effects he was working on?
