Just look online for dealers in old currency. You'll find it right away.

Here's one on eBay for less than $20: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Small-face-ten- ... SwAuZX6cjn

Thanks Richard,

the seller does not ship to France. I watched other sellers and the minimum is about $40 with shipping

I'm sure there are currency dealers in France who sell US bank notes. Google is your friend.

I have not found, I'll search with other keywords.
If anyone has an address in Europe, I'm interested ;)

Because the price is very high and I have not found bills in europe, I will print it.

I have found this link: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Cate ... _banknotes
and the bill is here: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Cate ... 2000-G.jpg

If you ever come to the US, make sure that you don't have a printed-out bill with you, because it would be considered counterfeit.

Yes, of course Richard. In US, the airport police are not very accommodating :)
The bill will only be used for private use and just for midas machine.
If all goes well, I'll go to Indianapolis for work in June. I would be careful not to let midas machine and his ticket in my pocket :D (and maybe I'll be able to find my famous bill to the US 8-) )

You should use Google to see if there's a currency dealer in the Indianapolis area. You might also ask your co-workers if any of them have an older bill.

It just occurred to me that you should try an experiment: use a new $10 bill with Midas Machine and do it for a few people. See if anyone even notices that the clear printing plate shows the old bill.

Thanks for the idea !
For now, I don't have a $ 10 bill, I'll wait to get one ;) (my trip of other source). I only have three $ 1 bills that friends give me after a trip to the US. Two bills are stored in a drawer with knife of the ninja and President's Cabinet.

Hi everyone!
This post reminded me to unpack and play around with my Midas Machine. As luck would have it... I did not think to tuck away an old, small-faced $10 bill, so I set out on a quest to find one. Easier said than done.

I asked every bank and retail location I came in contact with for the last several weeks and looked to ebay, but was daunted by the prices. Hard to justify spending $20 for a $10 bill, especially when I live in the USA.

Well... then I saw an ebay listing for a set of 13 bills. I placed an initial bid, and I've been biding my time for the last few days, keeping a eye on things. The good news is that I actually won, despite a last minute flurry of bids.

So... here's the deal: I don't need 13 $10 bills. I plan on keeping 3, and making the other 10 available here if anyone is in need. I ended up paying $11.70 per bill, so if you want one, and you are willing to pay the actual postage cost and PayPal fees, just let me know. Not looking to make a profit, just wanting to cover my cost.

I'll need your mailing address so that I can calculate the shipping and give you a total. International shipping is fine, but I will trust you to instruct me on how you want it shipped.

You can either PM me here, or send me an email at evanjunko_at_comcast_dot_net

Anyway... I hope that this is helpful.

Best regards,
Evan

Thanks, Brother!

Obviously, the cheapest route is to stick it in an envelope and mail it like a letter. Particularly cheap if you live in the US (or UK, given the exchange rate). I can also get an airmail envelope and shouldn't cost much internationally, either.

Not in any hurry to unload these, but for anyone in need I can probably help you out. If the tracking info is correct I will receive them on Friday.

Wow thanks for this fantastic opportunity Evan!

I THINK (!) Rob once gave (yes, gave!) me one quite some time ago but I remember when I looked for it a few months ago I couldn't find it anymore :( So if I don't find my copy I would certainly be interested in buying one from you! I'll check asap this week ... .

Hi EvanS!

It's a great idea! I am sending you an PM hoping that a not full member can benefit from your proposal ;) . It's nice to see someone very generous. If it's was possible, one bill would be enough for me :) Thanks a lot again!

Perhaps a suggestion: if sending a letter abroad is painful, perhaps we could group a unique shipment for Belgium and North of France.

But why the dollar is not used in France!!!!

Evan, you must be careful when sending cash. At Genii, when people send cash for a subscription it's often stolen out of the envelope by postal employees.

You must put the bill in a cardboard mailer when sending it so there's no hint of what's inside, even if it's held up to the light.
