I can't find it anymore (not interested btw!) - did someone actually buy this for that price!? Mind boggling ... . And I also own a cheap version which actually works better than the genuine Tenyo one!

[EDIT] I found it - no longer for sale. From a quick look at the page not clear it has been sold though.

Thanks Brett.

Mother Blanker. It's 750 GBP not dollars. That's crazy even though it has a nice box.

Anyone want to hear a interesting story about a RARE Tenyo I got?

Probably the rarest Tenyo that I have got, you would never expect. It is Billiard Balls in English Package. There are plenty of out there in Japanese package, but only once was there a Billiard Balls in English Package for sale in the past 4 years and I was lucky enough to get it. So cool also was that the balls are made of wood not plastic. It came with no instructions but in a rather nice box, which is most of the value. Now I have seen multiples of all the hard ones. I have even had multiples in hand of these rare Tenyo, Astro Tube(2), Melting Loop(3), Invisible Man(2) but only once I have seen Billiard Balls in English Box. There are probably more out there, but I have never seen them for sale. Of course the rarest two, Coin Coaster (Zero Know to Exist) and Break Away Fan (I think One Exist) are in their own league.

Now how did I get this trick I talk about. Well a nice young man from the UK named GAZ looked at my want/need list when he saw this come up on Ebay UK. He won the auction and immediately contacted me to get it in my hands. After a fair trade, I had it in my collection.

So this kind jesture coupled with the fact that GAZ stood side by side with my like Richard did when I was getting attacked over and over again by my foes, puts GAZ "the Gazinator" into my Tenyo Friend Hall of Fame forever!!! :D

THANK YOU GAZ!

In the 80s I bought the exact same wooden Billiard Balls with the same package with the misspelling.
I still have them and the instructions but I threw away the package. I bought them for 11,50 Dutch Guilders, that is about 5,50 Euro.

I thinks that's what happened to most of the boxes. People threw them away.

The same goes for Coin and Glass which was merely the rubber dental dams. The rubber would shrivel up and most people threw away the boxes. When Coin and Glass comes for sale (which is basically just the box) it goes for hundreds of dollars.

I am expecting other collectors (like Elliot or David) to say they have the English Box for Billiard Balls, it is just that none have come for sale.

Another one where you hardly see the packaging is T-80 Sponge Balls. Most people would not save the box for these. I had two of these and saw one rather mangled box of them on Ebay once.

BTW I still do not have T-33 Coin and Glass in English Box. Major thanks/trades/cash to anyone who can help me find one.

Who me? ;)
Yeah, I have the English box for Billiard Balls but it is in bad shape and it was missing one of the balls which I replaced from the Japanese version. They haven't changed much.
Can't remember where I got it from. Must have come in a lot with some other stuff.

I don't have the English box for sponge balls though and I don't think I've seen any besides yours.

Interesting story John. I have the newer Japanese packaging with Billiard Balls. I do have one wooden ball and one wooden shell that, from what the seller told me, were from the old Tenyo package (Japanese or English), but I do have doubts because the wooden ball and shell are larger than the plastic ones, so perhaps they were made by another manufacturer.
And yes, I am one of the few happy owners of a mint Coin Through Glass, and I may actually sell this one in the future since it is one I never use (the plastic sheets are 'melted' together in one big piece of black plastic). I do like the effect a lot, but the rubber sheets are easy available from every magic shop. Anyway, would I ever sell (or trade) this John will be the first to know :)

There is a replica that is almost exact to the Tenyo mold other than the Tenyo Markings.

There are two more that come to mind that are not known as rare but really are.

They are T-70 Chinese Linking Rings and T-83 Super Sponge Ball.

I have never seen either of these in English package.

Are there pictures of the English Package for these two tricks in Tenyoism?

It does show a picture of the English package for Linking Rings but he says the picture is from a catalog. He was not able to find an existing copy of it. It is similar to the Japanese package you have on your site.
He does not show an English package for Super Sponge Ball. Just the one in plastic that is available now.

So that's where it went. My English version is missing the shell and one ball. But how did it get all the way to you? :)

The shell with my T-36 wooden balls is metal not wood and the size is very close to the Japanese plastic ones.

What David has might be Tenyo Balls that were sold as professional items in Japan as "Chicago Balls."
