For those of you who already own "Coin thru Match," is this piece worth adding to my collection?
After reading about it in Tenyoism, I'm thinking I may be passing up on something good.

Thanks

If you can find it cheap (30 - 40 USD) you should go for it. As a trick it is certainly not worth, let's say, 100 USD or more imho.

I would agree. Not worth $100 but definitely worth picking up for the right price. It's a simple trick. All you do is slide the coin in but what makes it fun is that you can hand it out and the spectator won't be able to do it.

You can get a newer version of it in the Magic World magic set.

There's an Ebay auction for the older version here:

I think I might have seen an older one also in an online store for around $35. I can see if I can find it again if you like.

Coin Thru Match

I used to have one, and it is a neat piece of work. Sort of hard to come by due to its popularity.

There are a few different colored versions of it, and the one with the 'smoking rabbit' logo seems to go for a bit more (I had the green one).

$100 is a helluva stretch. I completely agree that $30-$40 is a good estimate a good going rate for one.

Good luck in your endeavor!

This better be a shameless plug and not a tease! That's better than the Tenyo version and needs to be constructed en-masse. Pronto!

At least, when I can afford things again! ;)

if I ever leave education and take this up full time it will be my first release, but for now it will have to remain a secret :)

I'm with David, Simon, your Coin through match is still a BIG PAINFUL QUESTION MARK in my head!!!

Or the answer is super simple, or it is super complicated.

I tend to believe the solution is super simple, because the turning of the coin goes so fast.

Isn't threre any company that is interested in bringing this out?? Viking, Magic Wagon, Uday, Royal Magic, Magic Makers???

I tend to agree, it will be something simple. When we realize how it works we'll have a 'D'OH'-erlebnis :D

Very nice, but you forgot that I have x-ray eyes!

I can see through the box ...

It was SO simple. With my x-ray eyes I saw the coin enter the box at one end, then turn into small metal particles which moved past the toothpick, only to re-assemble on the other side of the toothpick to drop out the other end.

I also saw you press the invisible "reverse" button for the neato "turn-around" effect.

Congratulations, that "Particle Coin" was a brilliant idea. ~ :D ~

you got me. It's essenially a miniaturised version of Willy Wonka's Wonka vision machine so I can't really take credit for it ;)
