If it's the mail in packet trick; it sounds promising

The mail in trick usually comes out a little later and is not available in stores. However Tenyo sometimes comes out with some other smaller type trick in December. An example of this would be Surprising Fork. It looks like this might be one of those. Possibly.

What exactly do they distribute through the course of a year? Or do tricks just pop up when they do?

It looks like a DVD of card tricks and you get the deck of cards, my guess would be some type of force deck or such.....

Most likely it is a standard deck of Bicycle cards. That is what came with the other card dvd they put out last year.
