What's everyone's favorite Tenyo trick?

Post by Jason » Wed Jan 18, 2017 11:14 am

That might be too hard to choose from since there are so many. I get told that I seem to want to get Tenyo tricks that nobody thinks are good. I saw a nice card floating illusion online, so I probably won't get Cloud Money. I know how the trick is done; and once I make my gimmick, I'll be already. I also saw a neat card flying trick. The internet showed how to do that too.

Everyone has their favorites but certain ones usually appear on most everyone's list. Here's a few of the more affordable ones on my list...

* CRYSTAL CLEAVER
* SOFT COINS
* FLASH DICE
* FUNNEL VISION
* ZIG ZAG CIGARETTE
* SUPER SPONGE BALLS

Hope that helps.
It's a Tenyo day in the neighborhood!

Crystal Cleaver
Magicians Matchbox
Mystery China Box
Magic Square
Magic Painting
Sakakku Scale

I know how Crystal Cleaver and the discontinued Mystery China Box are done. I wish I would've held onto that last one. The only one I still have is Flash Dice. I don't what the others do.

I think Diabolicus is one of the best also. It is small, very handy and it is smart.

Mini-Morphosis is another good trick I see advertised in the banner. That was a pretty good mini version of that metamorphosis illusion, except that it's done with a magnet, which still makes it a good trick. I wonder why a company put out in Japan named one of their tricks Mystery China Box.

The ones I perform the most, not necessarily/always the most clever ones I may add, are:
- Crystal Cleaver (though I must admit there are more and more people aware of how this works)
- Grand Derby Prediction
- Magic Maze
- Sakakku Scale
- Magical Door
- Parabox
- Billscape
- Mobile Illusion

Certainly among Tenyo's best/clever inventions are
- Mystery China Box
- Confined Cubes
- Ultra Tube
- Mirage
- Geometrick
- Prison Box
- Elevator Coin(s)
- Tunnel Of Darkness

10 Favorite Tenyo effects to perform are:

Prison Box
Sidetrack
Bird Watcher (I do Phase 3 only!)
Squeeze Play
Ultra Tube
Tunnel Of Darkness (I vanish the die which seems much more mysterious, and logical to me)
Crystal Cleaver
Soft Coins
Cross Road
Billscape

2nd 10 Favorite Tenyo effects to perform

Wonder Window (works every time, but have to say in practice to maintain the feel!)
Alpha Tunnel
Match-Sticks
The Ninja Experiment
Tenyo Miracle Ring (visual stunner)
Magic Works - "Spirit Of the Coffin" (maybe not considered Tenyo)
Hyper ESP Card effects (NEW for 2017)
Mystery China Box
Confined Cubes
Tongue Tied (Magic Works) tie w/ Severed Skeleton (Magic Works)
and now, on with the show ...

BluBob, I'm surprised to see "Crossroads" on your list. I don't know of anyone else who performs the trick.

What's Crossroads? I remember one Tenyo website where they show all the tricks starting with the current year and going on down, but I'll be darned if I could find it again.

I been down to the "crossroads" it's at the intersection of highway 61 and 49 in Clarksdale, Mississippi.
That's where Robert Johnson supposedly was given the power to play Guitar.
If you look closely you will find a Guitar player in the background of my image.

I happen to like Tenyo "Crossroads." I relate the story to the magic power given to Robert Johnson.

Hey, it's the Blues ... there you go!

Is Burglar Ball that trick that Petrick and Mia put out? I met those two a couple times in person. They're really good. He gets funny when he does his miser's dream trick because he makes a joke about collecting money for church.

I'd probably get fooled again if I saw it again because it's been too long. Crystal Cleaver is one that I lost or lost that little sword that goes with it. It'd be nice if I still had it. Does anyone have an extra I can have?

Fave Tenyo pieces in your collection.

Post by gazpratley » Sun Jan 29, 2017 4:06 am

Hey guys just interested in what everyones fave tenyo pieces are mine are as follows,

1.. Doug Henning floating lady... this is prob one of my rarest tricks in my collection and i love it as it has the character of Doug instead of the generic Tenyo magician, i love showing it to the kids too.

2..Mirage {japan packaging}... i adore the trick , to me it is tenyo engineering at it"s very finest and everyone i have showed i have fooled 100 p cent. i managed to get a good deal on the japanese packaged version and i think it is even better than the usa version,it has fake blood lol.

3.. Wonder window {spanish packaging} another fantastic trick a special take on the glass board, one of my fave Tenyos for me to get this in spanish packaging was extra awesome as i have a couple of spanish friends and have always been very taken with the lingo{its very cool!}

4.. Ultra Tube No packaging :( absolutely bloody fantastic trick i snagged this albeit expensively, great great trick,a real fooler from Tenyo, just wish i could have a packaged one but way outta my price league :(

so there is a quick top 4 for you guys, i hope you enjoyed reading it, let me know your thoughts, i have many other rare n special tenyos but i just thought i would do a quick top 4. :) have a great day guys!!.

I always name What's Next as my all-time favorite but Zone Infinity is not far behind. Perfect pocket trick for so many reasons!

Yeah, it sounds good; but even if it comes with Squeeze Play, which is another one that I know the secret to but can't do because I only have the little block or whatever you call that thing that does the penetration part of it, that still sounds like a lot. Money comes to me sometimes, but it doesn't come predictably. Phantom Block is another one that's pretty good and easy to do; but again, the money to replace it sounds like a lot. In other words, I need duplicates for those three that nobody needs.
