New Video Section Added to the Sister Website

Post by JohnM » Tue Mar 04, 2014 4:36 pm

A new section called "Exclusive Videos" has been added to the sister website.

John B. had some performing ideas so we shot some video recently.

John did a good job but there are some things I would like to improve on, on my end.

The key thing is that they are successful in demonstrating some nice alternate presentations.

Thanks for the feedback guys! John and I have met a bunch of times to discuss new routines and brainstorm alternate performances. With Credit Surprise, it was inspired by Card Surgery, and we thought it would be cool to do this with a business card- to both tear a card and restore it by magic. I like that the card can be handed out afterwards as well. Credit Surprise is great and largely under-appreciated likely due to the standard routine with the credit card and the buzz saw wand.

I am convinced that there are plenty of really cool routines waiting for some of our favorite Tenyos. Perhaps collectively, we can all brainstorm and come up with new routines for existing items, and maybe even take them to a higher level. I am currently thinking about what else can be done with Mystic Blackboard.

wow....wonderfull routines....I really like the one with the credit surprise!.....I never like the illusion with the credit card because I alway was capable see the border of the gimmick....it never convinced me......but the solution with the business card is great......the thinner card improves the illusion a LOT.........you ROCK guys!!

I remember you telling me about this idea in London, I'd just bought my own CS and was sat in the pub having unceremoniously ripped it open :) Roberto's right the thinner card is a winner. great work guys, thanks for sharing :)

Love the video's, especially the Credit Surprise routine. I love to use different tricks in one routine, and this one goes very well :)
Can't wait to see more of those video's guys!

I have an idea to make a story with a spectators ring, or an antique one. you could say it was a famous historical figures ring (Rasputin?) or if it was really old, king Arthur's or someone who has been on many adventures and escaped a lot ;)
you could create a 'gauntlet' of tricks that would describe a story.

1.prison box - he escaped his cell and swapped with another prisoner
2.trap box - escaped his cell in solitary confinement
3. crystal cleaver - escaped execution on the block.
Now you see me...

The videos are very nice. I enjoyed your new presentations for the Tenyo tricks.

Credit Card Surprise is one trick that I perform often but I never expected that this trick can be improved this much.

Fantastic videos! I'll never use paper in Mystery Triangle again!

I don't have CS but after seeing this video I'll be getting it soon. Great job!
