I’ve seen two different videos of Mystery of the Pyramids.
In one of the videos both sides of each disc are shown before they are placed on the rod so I thought perhaps it used a different method.

You can show every disc both sides.

Dean’s Triangle by Dean Dill

If I had the money I would buy this trick, it pleased me from the first moment

"The routine is basically a four-phase Coins Through Table effect, and every move has been painstakingly thought through and the performance DVD by Dean himself takes you through all the steps. If only more manufacturers would follow through with this much attention to detail, we’d have a lot more great magic, and a lot less trash filling our shelves." - Andy Martin

Jewel Chest of Sea-Ling by Richard Gerlitz

Still one of my all time magic tricks but this version is unique !
It is Richard’s prototype and if you compare it to the other video
you maybe notice the difference. This version is top notch magic

Olaf, I thought I sent this earlier, but I don't see it? So here it is again. I too had the Gerlitz item and I think one of his best items (especially the docor). Usually, the vanished box is produced after the vanish and the items removed from box. I did not see this in your video and I also noticed that the chest was close to the table end.

YES, I like this trick every time I see it again, and also the details of the design

Bob, I do not know the complete routine but that was not the reason of this post
Maybe you can spot the difference to above video, below a video for comparison

Important => if someone notices the difference please do not share this knowledge publicly here

Use secret area because the owner of this trick asked me not to make this additional secret public

I happen to have the 'poor mans' version of this effect, I even made a video of it a year ago:

https://youtu.be/vZ8GHP14-ak

But of course the Gerlitz version is superior and more deceptive!

WishI I was able to make such effects myself, and no, not from Lego :)

Yes I was lucky to get this from my friend Frans Reijnier by trading it with one of my tricks.

And oops... Usually I'm pretty keen on misspellings, but this time I really went wrong with naming this trick Sing See instead of Ching See. :(

It is a fair point Bob, and seems unfinished maybe? I guess a pure vanish is ok too, depends on the presentation.

Yes, it is a very nice trick, but hardly baffling today.

Really wonderful to see this video, and Tommy Wonder speaking Dutch :)

I disagree with Øyvind, I find it really baffling!

I also disagree with this statement, we as magicians know in part what is going on,
but even with this knowledge I am totally surprised and thrilled by this effect !

The best tricks are the ones which always surprise me again ...

I'm not saying it is a bad trick, but it is just very obvious what is going on.

I think this is the only version with the sleeve rolled up. If you are be able to watch how Tommy prepared all the details, he was such a perfectionist and his work on the vanishing cage was truly a masterpiece. I think noone did better than him.

Here is another baffling effect

Deck Zag by Richard Griffin

PS A normal deck of cards is used.

Deck Zag is pretty cool, but it seems reasonably obvious what is going on, I think.
