This is a fantastic item. I happen to know the guy who made this. He is a very professional craftsman. Yes the price is high but I believe it is worth every penny.

Can't afford it unfortunately at the moment...

Probably only a few are made.

It's the same guy who also made Cubes and tubes, new copies are available now:

https://www.dynamitemagic.nl/shop/ds-ex ... video-4389

SimonL purchased this one, and others.

Ooh...the price on Cubes and Tubes has doubled! I'm glad I purchased this effect when it was first listed a few months ago.

As soon as I see this post I ordered it, the price is not that high considering the quality.
I haven't ordered any MW lately so I was getting a bit impatient for a new addition.
I love having something in the post :D

Only Three days to arrive in Australia from Holland.
When I buy something from Europe the Tax is removed and we don't pay any import tax so this cost me about the same as someone buying from Holland :D

There is almost no noise and it instantly resets, apart from the ring its all Perspex (plastic)
It comes in a neat velvet lined plywood box.
I love it.

This sounds fantastic Simon, and I am very tempted to order the Chinese version, now in stock... I was worried about noise issues but glad to hear it works very silent. It's actually better than Crystal Cleaver, because you don't have to push the wand downwards! So it's an advanced mechanism!

I just saw the Chinese version too (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UOD2Zz7ejwg) - looks great.

But ... whenever I perform Crystal Cleaver, it seems one or two people always know the mechanism because of the trick being so long available and, even more surprising, some people had the Magic Works version of it (which was also available in Belgium/Holland).

Yes, you don't have to push the wand down, but pushing the wand down, penetrating the ring and box, does enhance the illusion in my opinion ... but that could be just me ;)

I think this is a great trick, and I would like to add it to my collection, but the price is a bit high for me (325 EURO ? Come on ... :o ). And I don't think it can be examined as Crystal Cleaver can.

Wonderfull trick, but a bit overpriced, imho ... .

It must be a small batch, hence the price...

Must be difficult to produce commercially because of the labour involved.

So I think the price is right, especially with the added suitcase...

Can't buy this however at the moment.

Frans Reijnier, the man behind Ring Escape Deluxe, visited me a few days ago, and showed me the Chinese Ring Escape deluxe. I was impressed because of the amazing craftsmanship.

I showed him my Lego Ring Through Wand and Mystic Ribbon Temple, and he was very enthusiastic. He considered both creations of mine Tenyo-like :)

It's great to have a magic friend like Frans, who even lives very nearby :)

We have plans to work together, he has a workshop with a laser cutter, we both have lots of ideas, so.... to be continued....

I cant wait for the next post concerning the above, I have a few of Fran's and a few of Rob's creations and they are top notch, grate to hear they might work together.

There is now a 3d version of Ring Escape, called Ring Tower, also made by Hollandmagicstudio.nl, for sale at Dynamite magic:

The price is much lower than the other two, namely 175 €. The other two are 325 €:

The mechanism of all 3 is the same...

I have the Chinese version, and it's very well made.

NO - you are not alone - for me just this optical sword penetration is the main effect !
This expensive version looks very good and also has the right size but the effect is weaker
The additional transparent cover is a weakening and superfluous element in the process :!:

I like all three versions, whereby the tower is even more pleasing from the effect sequence
but does not look as noble as the other two versions. The safe version is suitable for a modern narrative but I tend optically more to the Red Chinese one. The hinges I would like to have solved differently instead of only with clear Tesafilm - Btw for CC T-155 is a way to minimize the noises

I actually liked this version better than the two more expensive ones. Curious why you called it a "3D version", though. Is it 3D-printed? I can't see any mention of that on the product page, just that it is hand made.

Øyvind, I meant to say that there is a third version, as in 1st, 2nd, 3rd.

No, it's not made with a 3d printer, but with a laser cutter.
