Quite literally a mad inventor, he's one of my heroes, I hope I'm as happy, enthusiastic and prolific in my ideas when I'm his age.

This item/magic trick was invented by Lubor Fiedler.....very clever...as usual:

It is a very clever trick. I have to watch it several times to know how it works. But I don't think that laymen will be impressed by this because they can clearly see the sliding panel. They do not analyze the trick the way we do and just assume that the change is caused by the sliding panel. Maybe the trick will work better if the change is not done visibly.

I have bought the Film trick about 30 years ago and am glad I still have it. Just recently I discovered it was invented by Luxor Fiedler.

Bob, the person on the video is performing Film in a very lazy way. Moving your hand over the item while it slides the other way makes it much more magic.

I really like the clear plastic light box with LED and switch I have to have one.
Is this available anywhere or just his to show off.
If not available soon as I figure out how to accomplish this I will be making one for sure.

I like them all. The box without wires is very cool. I have all the parts on hand (from my slot car track build) but have no idea how to make one.

I'm wondering if there is a type of LED you can activate by bringing a wireless power source over it (like putting a light bulb in a glass of milk in the microwave -don't try that at home kids ) or a pk ring that activates it. There is no battery involved in the construction. Well done lubor is all I can say!

Here is my theory about white magic, the only thing I can't work out is what specific materials he uses (gas/board)
1. Inside the glass is a gas, say pure oxygen, helium etc, that reacts with the grey material and makes it go from grey to white. Or perhaps the material is thermochromic and the glass is full of ice cold air.
You notice the grey square in part one is the same colour as the mat in part two and reacts in the same way to the glass being over it. You can see right at the end that the gas/cold air acts as such when it is finally released from the glass.
2.the jack is sprung along the middle, short edge (and stuck to the mat). As you see lubors keeps it held down until the glass is on top. As the glass moves it flips over to reveal the black jack.
