I obtained a rather nice version of Cuban Release. Made in Holland with some clever adjustments compared to the original design.

I made a video of it:

That's a nice version.
I was tempted to buy one in the past but was always put off by the end or lack of when the cube is removed ( that's usually the end of the trick ) but you remove the whole rope "perfect ending"
Are these available " it looks new" or is it a one off ?

HOORAY! I love it when a new Brother Bor video comes out :)
I can't quite work this trick out. Great performance I can see any suspicious moves or any hints to the working.
And great shirt!

Thanks for your positive comments.

Actually I only knew this effect from "The Magic of Jack Hughes" and was a bit disappointed.

Then Clown Berry Merlin sadly passaed away recently, and there was a big sale of his collection of magic tricks, mostly stage tricks.

When I saw the pictures of this Cuban Release I immediately thought: this should be a good one. And after receiving it I discovered that all the weaknesses of the original version were taken away :)

It is a brand new item I bought, there were no instructions involved, it is very well made and I believe it is made in the 1990s.

It is even my intention to make a smaller version of it :) This is surely possible. Maybe in collaboration with Jenzo Harmonics???

I am even thinking of a version with a magic wand instead of a rope...

By the way, I saw it is still for sale, here is a screenshot. A bit confusing, DynamiteMagic sells a lot of Berry Merlin items (mostly on a special FB-page), but now you can also buy them directly at Studio Merlin. On another special Facebookpage :).
Here is the screenshot:

So this copy is only 45 euro... Ridicilously cheap!
(I paid 75 euro, still a good price!)

Can only be ordered by sending a mail at margogrootveld@gmail.com. Don't know if they send it abroad...

To be honest I was pretty baffled the first few times I saw it - well done Rob! A miniature version would be great of course, however I would stick to the rope version, this is more 'organic' and less sucpicious perhaps. Just my 2 cents!
