Unfortunately no Rob :) I see it for the first time this kind of effect. Very interesting. Must be something clever inside that vase. Thanks for sharing.

This effect does sound quite unique, and being a woodworker I have an idea how it may be constructed. Very cool concept and an interesting effect!

That looks really nice but I am wondering why there is no demo for the product on their website. They do a quick demo of it on their new product show but not with a spectator. I am wondering if there are any "moves" necessary for this. Interesting apparatus!

Because the review is not in English, I am probably missing something worthwhile in the review.

Interesting! If it plays as well as it reads it should be a good one. Looking forward to your review, Rob.

Hi all,

As a lucky Dutch citizen, I received Mental Balls and Vase today. And I am pleasantly surprised!

1) The craftmanship is top notch. This could have been a Magic Wagon item.
The wood is hard-wood, and perfectly made. Not a single flawness.
You can remove the top part, and then you see the gimmicked part. It made me smile. It is made of acrylic, or perspex - it's transparant. This is also made 100% perfect, made of the best materials. Very sturdy, nothing can break. Because it is perspex, and not wood, it is very durable and wil not be affected by humidity.

Both wooden parts have a near perfect match concerning the grain.

So, the quality is outstanding.

2) The mechanism is perhaps simple, but yet very clever. I never expected it to work that way.
To my knowledge, I have never seen such a principle before. But, perhaps someone in the past has invented this,

3) It is very easy to perform. Of course practice is needed, but once you understand the concept, it is easy to do, and your presentation should do the rest.

4) There are no written instructions, but a link to a 10 minutes video. René Geelen himself, the owner of Dynamite magic, explains how it works and shows 2 routines. And, he explains it in English :)
So, it is also meant for international customers.

5) On the bottom there is a very nice laser-cut 'signature' or logo, that says Magic Workshop.

6) On the inside there is a 'number' hand-written. I have number 2. On the video I saw the number was 27.
Also on the bottom of the gimmick is the corresponding number. That means, that the 2 wooden parts belong to each other, so both pieces are made of the same piece of wood.

This is a real performer, and a real collector's item.

Ps It looks like a cute little terra cotta vase.

I was searching for a magic trick to combine with the Mental Balls and Vase, and suddenly knew it: Magic Wagon's Knight Vision Box. I made a video with the 2 combined:

I must agree! A perfect pair! Leave it to Rob for such a perfect pairing. He's done that successfully on several occasions.
