Solid Bar through Coin - Vintage Magic

Post by KirkW » Tue Dec 03, 2019 5:28 pm

I just received this wonderful, vintage, Tenyo-like closeup effect called "Solid Bar through Coin."

This is a very well made piece. It does require some sleight of hand but all sleights are masked by the natural handling of the props throughout the performance.

The clever yet simple method seems very much like something Magiro might have come up with.

I have no idea who the maker is or how old this piece is and, I don’t see it listed in any of my old magic catalogs. I believe it may be from the 50s, 60s or early 70s.

Each of the tubes has the word “DEMON” etched into it and the top of the instructions have: Rochester, New York.

I’m hoping someone on this forum is familiar with this trick and can provide more information.
