If IKEA made magic tricks

I think this just about passes as magic, but either way, I love it. I find myself strangely drawn to overly elaborate methods for simple effects, so this ticks that box for me!

Matt Pritchard, the creator, has a nice website here: https://www.sciencemagicshows.co.uk as well as a Facebook group called Perspectricks which has lots more interesting ideas.

Matt and I spoke about this creation, it’s very clever what’s really going on, and I love how most magicians will think they know what’s happening durning the first camera angle, and then instantly become confused when shown the second camera angle. A very fun effect!

It sais it's an 'optical illusion', so I wonder this can be performed in real life?

Hi David, I think with a very specific setup, this could be performed on stage in front of an audience, but it really isn’t a magic effect in the real sense, and would be very tough to perform on stage, it would require a complicated setup.
