oh my goodness that's terrible news, what an enormous loss to the world of magic. I think he has inspired so many of us here, and his boundless creativity and ability to think outside of the box to the point where the box fits inside the box the box came in, has always encouraged me that it's ok to have 'mad inventor' as my dream job. to be 81, and with such a legacy and legion of fans is amazing. I think we will be seeing more of his inventions for many years to come, but I am glad he had yet another year with one of his tricks being made by tenyo. a prolific and inspirational genius, it's a shame I never got to meet him.
I think we should all get our favourite lubor tricks out tonight, try and find someone who's never seen it before and make them scratch their head while he looks down and smiles
Now you see me...

I will start with his 4D surprise mate. Sure Lubor F was proud to have John M who design the flag to make the trick perfect.

So sorry to hear that. He will be missed by the entire magic community and this will surely impact Tenyo. I wonder if they will make a statement.

Here is Lubor's Tenyo Trickography:
1993 T-161 Parabox
1995 T-172 Invisible Zone
1996 T-178 Krazy Keys
1997 T-183 Impossible Pen
1998 T-186 Antigravity Rock
2000 T-198 Blue Crystal
2010 T-243 4-D Surprise
2011 T-250 The Third Eye
2011 T-251 Flying Carpet
2012 T-255 Card Surgery
2013 T-258 Ghost Card
2014 Magical Security

Plus:
Phantom Clock
Lubor's Ashtray

Guys am I missing anything he did for Tenyo? I want to make a tribute graphic and don't want to leave anything out.

This is sad news indeed. And that on Simons first working day. That's not a good sign...

His insane mind will be heartily missed. Between all the so so tricks of many other magicians he was an inventor that will seldom pass by. Dear LF, you will be missed, but you will be an everlasting inspiration for all of us!

That looks really nice John. He was really the top inventor for the last 3 years and the 4th also for the next year. What a great achievement! Do you believe that Tenyo already have had some agreement of his ideas that will be release in the upcoming year 2016 and so on....? I hope so ;)

That a good point. Probably yes.

It is like when Robin Williams passed, they said there are 4 films that will be released after his death.

Hopefully we get a little more Lubor from Tenyo. That would be great.

John, the tribute graphic is excellent.
For me he was not just the best Tenyo inventor of the past 3 years, but the best of all time (probably it is a close tie on this title with Shigeru Sugawara).

A friend of mine attended his lecture about creativity at the International Convention in London in 2011. According to him: Mr. Fiedler told a lot of stories of conventions and have shown a lot of footage of him. He told that he was a chemical engineer and this helped him a lot in creating his effects and provided him a lot of inspiration. He also mentioned his death. He told that he does not mind if he dies, but he hopes even after that he can continue creating new ideas...

Is it true that a separate Lubor Fiedler book is coming out next year? Apart from the Tenyo book?
