HAPPY MOVEMBER
HAPPY MOVEMBER
hello all, as it is the first of November, over here in the uk it's the first day of Movember. during the month of November men (and for the purposes of equal representation, women) are encouraged to leave their top lips alone for the entire 30 days and cultivate a dashing tasche to raise awareness of prostate cancer and mental illness and general issues in men's health. I have a head start (Im not supposed to according to the rules but I look like a girl without facial hair) but will be seeing what i can do and I invite/challenge you all to do the same. perhaps we could have a gallery at the end of the month.
Fred and jay I see from your pics that you are already in the running

Re: HAPPY MOVEMBER
Yes the watch... I was a watch lover, and this was a wind-up watch but with a digital look because it had three circled time indicators, similar with this watch:
Unfortunately I don't have the watch I wear on the photo anymore, so I don't know the brand name. You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Re: HAPPY MOVEMBER
Wow great watch Roberto! I've always loved these kind of watches, I've had a few of these when I was about 20 years, that was in 1973,and I still have others of this kind from Storm and Seiko for instance. But I've never heard of Isomatic, that is an oldie isn't it?

Re: HAPPY MOVEMBER
I even bought the very first digital watch with red leds for a very high price (when these came out they were very expensive), must have been in 1976. But after I split up with my ex and moved to an other house, I couldn't found them any more My ex said she didn't have them.
I've been a watch freak for years, but luckily for my wallet I stopped buying them.
I especially liked solar-powered and radio-controlled watches (automatic time-setting) from Casio and Citizen, and automatic ones.

Re: HAPPY MOVEMBER
If I had the money, I would buy this watch :
Well no, even if I had the money, I honestly speaking wouldn't pay so much money for a watch
The price? $ 165,000. Only 25 are made. Well no, even if I had the money, I honestly speaking wouldn't pay so much money for a watch

Re: HAPPY MOVEMBER
Ah yes, this one was on my wish list too, until I saw the price tag. And, there is a lot of wearing out because of the rubber moving parts.
My really favorite watch is from Richard Mille, the one Rafael Nadal wears
But because of the price tag of Richard Mille I stick to this look-a-like:

Re: HAPPY MOVEMBER
so here is my effort for 2014. not many people doing it in England this year, but I'm sticking to it. it's all about raising awareness of men's health both physical and mental. it affects us all but we're rubbish at going to the doctors and getting checked.
good health to you all chaps
mo ho ho!

Re: HAPPY MOVEMBER
You're a moustache-man Simon! You look so serious that it is almost funny! Anyway my blond moustache can't beat yours!
Yes you're right, most men don't go to the doctor, and when they go it's too late. I've had a colleague who did that (not going to the doctor and didn't talk about his complaints), and he died unnecessarily young at the age of 53. And he always wore a moustache!
