I will anyway make one for those who already have my first CR, the laser cut one by Simon and assembled by me :) These are 6 members.

And for others, Madison, Steve, RichardW, Victor.

That's already 10.

10 is my maximum for the moment.

I believe I surpassed myself. Now, a week later, all 10 Sword through cards are ready!

Now I will write a small manual.

I will let you know when they're ready to send :)

I think you should show tenyo this version fit their 'worlds greatest magic' effect. It's a Tommy wonder trick with a brother bor twist!

I believe this effect was based on the Thayer “Penetrative Card Frame”. It is listed in the Thayer 1941 Catalog 9 Vol. 1 for $2.50. The effect is similar to the more recent versions, but all can be examined before/after the penetration. It is not self-contained. I never had the effect, but I think a half-card had to be secretly added/removed? It sold on recent auctions for very high prices. Probably because it was Thayer, hard to find, description sounds impossible, and nice small playing card size.

I don't think it is the same effect, Bob.

Rob, your effect is much better than others!! The Thayer effect can be seen on the Andy Martin web-site. I just mentioned that the Thayer effect and others have a similar effect but not the workings. Although, I do think they all use a card bend. Your effect looks super convincing and I like it.

Mine arrived today and it is AMAZING!
It is so slim and deceptive. When I took a first look at the sleeve I didn't see anything suspicious and it was right I front of my nose!
This has definitely elevated the carpenters revenge concept and upped the game for anyone else who's going to give it a go. I swear this has classic tenyo written all over it, I'm not sure how it would work with the crediting but the working and way it is hidden reminds me of some classic tenyo effects.
Thanks rob, this is brillliant!!

Got mine last week too - I must say this is EXCELLENT. When I first opened it I was amazed by the quality. This looks as professional as can be. I also didn't notice the flap.
Very sturdy. When the flap opened I saw what Rob used to build it :D He couldn't have made a better choice.
Also nice you can replace the gimmick/card. Like Rob sais in the excellent and color printed instructions (much better instructions then what you often get!!!) it is more deceptive then the smaller versions because of less angle sensitive.
The sword Rob includes is also very cool. I'll use it for other tricks too for sure.
This gets a solid 10/10 for me. I'm thinking about selling my Thomas Pohle's version as I won't use that anymore.

Thank you VERY much for this fantastic gift ( :!: ) Rob! :)

Guys I'm really touched by your enthusiasm... and it was such a fun project to make these items in a small batch!

For those who have the first Carpenters Revenge: you will have enough extra cards to make extra gimmicks and extra cards if the card enclosed gets damaged.

For those who do not have the CR: I can send extra sets of cards if you wish.

If you use not the sword but an object with a blunt end, the card will live longer.

In the meantime, I have already now ideas for version 3 ... But I don't know yet if I will succeed ...

Thanks again for your positive reviews, of course that's a good thing for those who will have to wait a little longer for their copy :)
