Ruby's first cryptex

Post by SimonC » Sun Dec 27, 2015 12:36 pm

this year I wanted to make the mystic Ruby something special for Christmas so I came up with a child-friendly cryptex. it's simplified down to be three chunky barrels instead of 4 or 5 thinner ones. they're also four sided to limit the amount of outcomes. the ends have a clue to the solution which is to line up the same coloured shapes with the coloured spots on the ends. it took Ruby a bit of getting used to but he can get to his treasure now :) I'll have to give him something trickier next year :)

This looks lovely Simon, especially for a young child! A gem to cherish forever!
And yes next time a more difficult puzzle!
