Today I bought a pop-up book based on the books and TV show Game of Thrones. Not magical, but a ton of work went into this, and I have never seen a pop-up book quite like it.

this is amazing! I've never seen a pop up that folds out like that, thanks for sharing that. I have to teach about sabuda to my graphics students, I am was show them his Alice in wonderland book

he used to work in packaging design I think, and one day was in a dentists waiting room and started playing with a pop up book and thought hmm...

This pop-up book is incredible. Not only are the pop-ups intricate and beautifully illustrated, but the author was smart enough to design the book so it opens up to a large map where you can see all of the pop-ups at once.

Thanks for suggesting Sabuda Victor and Simon. I have ordered a few of his pop-up books!!

Cheers for the recommendation for Sabuda. I ordered his Dinosaurs book and it arrived yesterday. I am very impressed by the level of work that went into this. The Dinosaurs really jump out of the pages!
