Dear Tenyo forum members, with Christmas quickly approaching I'm feeling like giving back and what better place than here on this great Tenyo magic forum! I'd like to host a Christmas magic contest!
Many of you know I craft exotic wood puzzle box creations and recently I've turned my crafting skills to magic props. I've recreated an effect called The Corandi Dice Box and I'm giving away a copy completely free to one of our Tenyo forum members. This effect is an heirloom quality prop made from Peruvian Walnut with handcrafted Maple dice and finished with rubbing lacquered and a microcrystalline wax. A beautiful addition to any magic collection!
The contest will run for one week from December 7, 2018 to December 14, 2018 (Eastern Standard Time) in order to give all Tenyo forum members an opportunity at entering, with the winner being announced on Saturday December 15th.
Here's how to enter: I'm currently thinking of a Tenyo T-number between 1 and 287. The Tenyo forum member who guesses closest to the T-number that I am currently thinking of without going over will win this crafted Dice Box effect!
Rules: Tenyo forum members may only guess once, if you guess a second time I will ignore your second guess and your first guess will stand. If two Tenyo Forum members guess the same number I will select the forum member who guessed that number first.
If you are not familiar with this effect I have put together a quick video showing a performance routine here, it's not perfect but will give you an idea on how the prop can be used:

Many thanks to this wonderful magic community, Merry Christmas!, and good luck to all!

I didn't look up the name of the trick; you only mentioned you wanted us to select a number.

Many thanks Richard and others for the kind words! Thanks also for all the guesses! Numbers are fine, but if you want to throw in the Tenyo names that's fun too!

Many thanks for all your guesses in the Christmas Magic Contest. In the end here are the Tenyo T numbers that were recorded:
T 6 Steve S
T 7 Simon Layland
T 15 Rob Rand
T 21 CollinW
T 107 David Detenyo
T 116 Elliot W
T 136 EvanS
T 144 InIver
T 164 Magic Jeff
T 172 ØyvindK
T 198 Brett H
T 201 VictorS
T 210 Richard W
T 235 KirkW
The Tenyo T number I was thinking of was:
T 188 The Lucky Rabbit
Therefore the closest Tenyo forum member without going over was:
Øyvind at T 172
Congratulations Øyvind, I will reach out to you with a message to get your shipping address.
Thank you to all who entered I wish you a Merry Christmas and may your magic put smiles on many faces over the holidays!

Congrats Oyvind!
My guess was based on adding up the numbers on each die top and bottom.

Congratulations to you Øyvind - you are most certainly someone on this forum who deserves to win this, I may say, exquisite item!
And of course above all a big applause for Peter; not only because he organized this contest but also for donating one of his wonderfull and of course very unique, handmade items!
