Hi Simon,

Here they are. Names of different composers but every names could be transformed to Mozart. So you know what to do :) Prepare 1 prediction for example piece of music notes created by Mozart and put in an old envelope. All you need to do is to print and cut all names in pieces, you can laminate them, and give a simple mark at the back of all cards. Introduce the names, let spec. and have them to shuffle. Put all cards face down, let spec. select 1 and reveal the prediction ;) Easy and cool right ? Would be great if you make the laser cut version ;)

Victor

No problem Simon....I know it is not so easy to create such art. The composer trick is not my creation, but it belongs to someone. So please keep it for yourself. Unfortunately I forgot the inventor`s name. Additional tips to perform this trick, it is little bit difficult to see the word Mozart on some cards at the first sight, so you need to guide the spectator by spelling the letters. As you see here, it`s not so easy to combine words with different no. of letter.

Have fun with it Simon :)

Ok so yesterday I was inspired by victors post so I got into my laptop and got drawing up. I had a free period today so was able to get cutting.
I thought it would be nice if I was going to laser these words to do it in wood as it was in keeping with the theme. I toyed with the idea of using piano keys but thought it wouldn't work too well. I wanted something to do with pianos so I ended up here...
You present a strip of mahogany and say that your great great (etc) grandfather used to make pianos and that this is an heirloom passed down to you. His trademark was his skill in personalising his work, and he was a master calligrapher with a unique and popular style which he passed on through the generations of your family, even to you yourself.
You tell your spectator you have six plates from your ggggggg grandfathers workshop, but only one of them belongs to the long strip. He made practice plates for a variety of composers in case they ever requested them, but only one was ever used by the composer himself.
Can you sense which of these plates was in the presence of a great composer as he played his music? Does the sound resonate through the wood still after all these years?
They make their selection and then socks proceed to be knocked off as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's nameplate from his personal piano is revealed.
I enjoyed making these props and they feel lovely, very tactile. I think the ambigrams may benefit from a tweak, some are definitely better Mozarts than others.
I created the Wolfgang Amadeus from letters and elements from the other 6 ambigrams The aim with this is to strengthen the effect of it saying Mozart, by putting it next to "Wolfgang Amadeus" your brain is more inclined to see it as Mozart.
I have another idea with this concept but a different subject matter, I shall update on that once I've thought it through.
Si

Wow.....what a great idea Simon. I love the idea on how you reveal the prediction. This is really Cool. Since this trick related more to music, is it possible for you to add some design which music related ? Ambigram design would be great also for this. In addition a conductor stick could be utilized as accessories or magic wand, It makes the trick looks cooler. That`s my additional idea Simon.

;)
