Tom from NJ
Hi all! Tom from NJ here.
I've been collecting and performing magic for over 14 years now. I recall the Milton Bradley Magic Works from when I was younger, and a search for those led me to the Tenyo items that many of them were based on. I had always been aware of Tenyo, but didn't realize the connection between Tenyo and Magic Works until recently.
My first Tenyo item was Blue Crystal about two years ago, followed by Card Surgery last year, but in the past few months I've been on a Tenyo kick and my collection has grown to over 30 Tenyo items, 2 Tenyo Elite items and over 10 Magic Works. I think my favorite recent acquisitions would be Eye of the Idol and Sakkaku Scale. Still on the search for a good number of other Tenyo items, about 30 on my list right now, with Parabox, Mira-Metal, Mystery China Box and Prison Box at the top of the list.
As much as I hate to say I'm purchasing an effect just for the method, I feel that it's particularly true with the Tenyo items. The method behind so many of these items are just clever that they renew my thinking on so many other effects. Looking forward to talking Tenyo with everyone here.
