Hello from Nashville, TN

Post by KirkW » Thu Jan 29, 2015 12:27 pm

Hello,

I am new to the forum as of a week or so ago.
I love all types of close-up magic.
I am interested in and collect Tenyo magic (and Tenyo like magic), Tricks Co. Ltd Japan, Magiro, Bottcher, etc., as well any type of unique miniature illusions.
I love card packet tricks as well and collect Emerson & West, and almost any of the older packet tricks from the 60’s through the 80’s.
Last of all, I am a finger-style guitarist (a la Chet Atkins) and enjoy arranging and composing instrumental guitar music.

I look forward to meeting every one through this forum and talking shop on all things magical.

Kirk

Hi Kirk!

Nice to see you also collect Tricks Co. Ltd Japan, Magiro, Böttcher and others :) I have plenty of spares of Tenyo, and perhaps you have one or a few spares of those other companies or just tricks you're willing to trade for Tenyo. If so, drop me a personal message!

In any case welcome and enjoy!

Welcome on board Kirk. Glad to hear another collector joining the forum. Have fun! By the way, I am not a good guitar player but I love Tommy Emmanuel so much. If you love Chet Atkins, I am very sure that you love Tommy too ;)

Hello VictorS,

I believe Tommy Emmanuel is one of the greatest living guitar players around. I've seen him perform many times at the annual Chet Atkins Appreciation Society convention here in Nashville.
Chet Atkins was also into magic. Most people didn't know this.

Wow...I don`t know that. Thanks for informing. Now I am starting to believe that there should be many guitarist who love magic too around the world :) At the first time I saw Tommy, it was just only in his short video performing Amazing Grace. But after watching his Guitar Boogie...I was like  and :o ;) and I bought his Live At Sheldon DVD. A really nice concert to watch. He plays guitar with a magical touch I would say. :)

To all member who want to know Tommy Emmanuel, here is one of his best performance :

Enjoy!
Sorry guys, it is little bit out of magic topic but It is something cool to see.
