Greetings from Indiana

Hi, everybody -
My name is Mark Ratekin, and I live in Carmel, Indiana (the home of the legendary - and, sadly, now gone -
Illusions restaurant, which had Chris Kenner, Homer Liwag, Michael Close, and many other great close-up guys performing nightly).
I've been a fan of magic since I got a TV Magic set for Christmas when I was eight years old. Since that time, I can't think of a day in which I didn't think or read about magic. I remember vividly when I got a catalog (remember those?) from Stoner's FunStores in the early 1980's - it had an extensive section on Tenyo, and I was mesmerized by the effects. I received my first Tenyo effect soon after (The Wandering Hole), and thus began my obsession with Tenyo.
A few years ago, I started to collect Tenyo; it was perhaps my version of a mid-life crisis. To date, I have 176 of the T-series. I've also branched out to other Japanese brands like Tricks, Co., Sugawara's line, etc.
I'm happy to be a part of a forum with so many like-minded people, and I look forward to getting to know you.
Best regards -
Mark
