I'm just an amature to you professionals

Post by justme-Rick » Wed Aug 27, 2014 7:01 pm

Hello to all, I'm new to the world of Tenyo and have been collecting for a short time, but I've been around magic for 50 years. I'm always in awe at what I don't know and have learned so much since joining this fantastic forum. I try to read as much as possible and there is so much, thanks to John. :)

There's a lot of treasure hidden throughout the threads here, video clips, pics, routines all sorts, it's worth the hunt ;)

Welcome to the forums.

I have to ask, since Tenyo has a very broad range of trick types:

What is your favorite Tenyo thus far?
Where's my colon?!

Welcome Rick, and to clarify, it takes about 10 quality posts (not just any 10 posts), so relax, you will be a Full Member soon. ;) :D

We all do the same thing on the Magic Cafe to get the 50 posts to see the Secret Sessions and Buy Sell Sections. It takes about 5 days to get it done but they are not noticing because there are thousands of members.

One time Rob went over there and started posting that he hated Tenyo to get a conversation going and he milked about 20 posts out of that. It was classic. You will see that we are a lot of fun here and not stuffy at all.

Simon, do you want to fill Rick in on the initiation process before gaining Full Membership (oh, this should be good).

Brett, I have to tell you that it was my first Tenyo The Silk to Egg, I love that one in it I would palm the EGG and then switch it for a real hard boiled egg and then toss it to one of the audience making sure they missed it. When it smashed on the floor it wouldn't make a mess, but caused a lot of laughs. Picture it in your mind, back then it was funny.......

What the initiation process here? Just be nice :) I've not lasted long enough anywhere else to become a full member so have no idea ;)

Where's the jokes party pooper?

OK, I will tell him.

The initiation involves the tube and spikes from T-232 Balloon Illusion and a certain part of your body.

The only person who did not have to go through this was Simon. For Simon the tube was not big enough because…

Fill in your own punchline.

Ahh I see that kind of initiation sorry, it was 5am and I was up to me neck in screaming baby last time I logged in. Don't listen to John I was just too scared to do it, being a Brit I'm not used to the American college system. Theyre going to get me back tho, I'm scared about Amsterdam I'm going to get stitched up.

OK OK, I get it, but I don't think I want to use the tube, so I'll pass on that. I just want to say "THANKS TO ALL".......
