I really like Krazy Keys. I vividly remember the first time i saw it performed in Davenports. I bought it there and then and when I discovered the secret I thought it was so cool. Often tricks say on the promotional materials "using a brand new technique/method etc" but in the case of Krazy Keys Id never seen anything like it. A classic Lubor trick born of classic Lubor thinking.
Obviously not the most angle proof of tricks but its pretty baffling when you get it right. I scored it an 8 as I find the final move a little tricky to pull off without it looking very obvious what Im doing. However I suppose in a real life performance you could probably be quite bold and do it without being noticed, the drawbac of a video performance is you can watch every second of it over and over.
One tip, WASH YOUR HANDS before performing as the ends get very grubby (lots of grooves) I've just attacked mine with a toothbrush.

Great effect! Couldn't agree with you more Simon- I had never seen this exact principle before either. Richard and I thought it would be cool to make a version in metal out of old looking skeleton keys.

Now there's an idea! I wouldn't be too hard, I suppose the sl****g part would be the hardest bit. It would be amazing actually.

Question:

Can the keys fit inside Zone Infinity?
Where's my colon?!

I've watched the video several times and never had an idea how the trick is done until i got this on my hand. It is a very cool thinking of Mr. Lubor and this one is noiseless to perform. I like it :)

I normally like to give my opinion about a new trick in the Focus On Tenyo section, however this time I am not able to, because I have never, ever performed it or even tried it out! Yes, I played with the gimmick but soon realized it was too hard for me. But perhaps I should give it a try because when performed fluently it is a great litle effect!
I agree the secret is very, very innovative, never seen it before on a similar trick. It would have been great if the keys would fit into Magical Door to create a 'key-routine' but unfortunately they do not.

Just manage my old stuff and look what I found ;) Seems that someone made already with the real keys and I got this from my good friend years ago. Unfortunately we are not be able to do the climax (as in Tenyo version) with the keys and just only make the solid become the cut one and the cut one back to solid. The top one is the gimmick one, the middle one is the normal cut one, the bottom one is the normal solid one. I`m not sure if the gimmick one has the same principal with Tenyo version because I don`t have the Tenyo version unfortunately but by using the paddle move, I can show the gimmick one both sides solid or both sides cut. At the last I`m thinking if this effect would be perfect if we can combine it with Kineti Key or Golden key for the climax. It would be super cool. ;)

That's really nice Victor! I also wonder if the Tenyo-gimmick that makes it so very special would work with metal; there could be a noise problem I think.

I got this from my friend who own the local magic shop here Simon. It was already few years ago and I'm not sure if he made it or somebody else made it for him. I'll recheck with him if there is still some set available and let you know ;)

Metal Krazy Keys are really nice. Might not be a bad trick for Tenyo Elite to set their sights on although that would end up costing even more.

BTW there is a smaller set of Krazy Keys in the Magic World Set. It does not include the gimmick for the climax but on the bright side they do look more like regular keys and they also will fit into the Magical Door.

I bought a set of Krazy Keys off someone recently. I was told they weren't Tenyo but came from Germany. I assumed they were directly from Lubor. I was sadly disappointed. The Gimmicked key didn't have the most important two sided property... I was/am pretty disappointed. (Cries violently into my pillow) :)

I bought one of those way back when when I first started collecting. The sad part is that the instructions had the same routine as the Tenyo version and I sat there scratching my head trying to make it work when in reality it never could.

That really sucks! They are kind of a rarity to find in EBay, and SEO Magic has them for $75. Steep, I know, but they're there.

I have a spare set of Krazy Keys, mint in package. If anyone is willing to pay 50 USD for it drop me a pm. Shipping not included however, and that could be expensive if you want full tracking ... .

So what are the differences between the original krazy keys and the one that comes with the newest magic set tenyo has released? It says a simplified version?

The simplified version comes with only two keys and you cannot do the last part of the routine in which notches appear on both sides of the key.

The simplified version is still really good. Would love to see a Tenyo Elite of even the simple version- maybe an old skeleton key.

The simplified version is meaningless. If you want to see how Lubor actually did the trick, look in Tenyoism. The method is described in the book, and you can see Lubor perform it on video. It uses only the single highly gimmicked key and is by far the best handling.

Does anyone know whether the tenyo krazy lets have the logo engraved anywhere in the set? I’m debating to get Eddy’s magic one but unsure because it has no logo. Bird watcher and future clock both have the logo but not this o e
