I have seen approximately six different brands (versions) of this classic effect and IMHO, Tenyo's version is by far the best!

Some are quite small, some are poorly made, and one or two are not bad actually. There are variations on the large dice and small dice. For example, one version uses small colored cubes instead of dice and another uses letters.

What makes the Tenyo model so good is the quality, larger size, and that extra something which others don't have.

It's certainly one of the fastest tricks of all time! Visually cool, very easy to learn and perform, and can be used in conjunction with other effects.

It will be interesting to see what others have to say about this effect and, in particular, the Tenyo version.

By the way, check out Yasuo's (Japanmagic) presentation of the effect. Paper clips to candy. The container looks like one which was made to hold paper clips. Nice practical idea!

You can find Amano's version, as well as a great version by Hase which combines it with the bulb from Ghost Lamp, in Tenyoism.

The bonus routines in Tenyoism are amazing. Plus, there are added benefits...
I read Tenyoism for just 15 minutes each day and just take a look at the results;
This was me last January...

I always love crash dice. Quick and visual magical effect and the good thing is, it`s can be handed out for examination. I always remember to perform it while helping my friend at magic shop in Berlin to sell crash dice to the customer. I always make the effect twice for longer routine. First one, the big die crashes become small dice, I stole the gimmick, load the red die into the gimmick behind the table and say : "Hey, I have another white die and see what I can do"...and I did the color changing die. 2 effects in 1 prop. Very effective !

I am little bit too late for this one because I just bought Tenyo Crash Dice after I owned the other knock off version. I thought all Crash Dice will be the same all over the world but I was wrong. With Tenyo version all parts can be handed out for examination,especially the lid. The props are totally clean at the end of the routine. Dr. Sawa's idea is really brilliant. Tenyo really made this perfect. The quality of the prop is the best comparing to other versions.

Yes, Tenyo's version is by the far the most well made.

A TV crew just flew to my house from Japan and did a story on Tenyo. I did Crash Dice, then taught it to the producer who then did it on camera. Airing in Japan on December 21.
