Here's a nice 1970s set that was distributed by Sears in the USA.
Comes with the original versions of 6 Tenyo Tricks.
The box on the bottom right contains the handkerchief and gimmick for Penetro Coin and a fake wooden match for Coin through Match.

who can be a magician anytime anywhere? Is that a misprint? Maybe it's super rare?

I don't think it's a misprint. The instructions say the same thing. Maybe it referring to the 70s looking kids in the picture or maybe you are supposed to insert your own name. :)

Maybe it used to say "only boys" and then they got complaints so the rubbed it out and stuck a picture of a girl in the background. At least tenyo now do their girls only set, it's the only ever magic set I've seen aimed specifically at girls.

My daughter has been asking me to get her the Tenyo Disney Princess magic book for a while now.

I think it's it's the only girl thing she saw in the Tenyo catalogs. Not really my cup of tea but I'll probably end up getting it for her one of these days.

This is a very cool set. It is probably not that exciting to most because the tricks have been so over performed and overly knocked off, but these are the landmark tricks that made people stand up and notice Tenyo. For sure Tenyo is very proud of these tricks so they made a set to pay tribute.

Here's some pics of a really old Tenyo magic set. Not 100% sure but I believe these sets were made in the 1930's.

I'd really like to have that Tenyo Mickey Mouse magic set I saw on some auction. It only had three tricks in it. One looked like Water Suspension. I think the other was Mr. Rabbit done with Mickey shaped sponges. Could not see the third trick because the instrucitons were over it in the photo, but there was also a video tape.

I think you are referring to this set.

The third trick is magic cards.

It is a nice set. Not sure if there were any other sets that came with a video tape.

I did not know they made a water suspension trick with a Disney theme. There's more and more Disney Tenyo stuff that pops up each day!

If you're looking for performance pieces, I know you can find the sponge mickeys and the cards pretty easy on Ebay.
But that set I've never seen before.
Where's my colon?!

There are a lot of really great Tenyo magic sets out there!

One of the things I love about them is that will often have variations of Tenyo effects only found in the sets, or tricks which are unique to the sets themselves....

An example is the lovely money maker found in the Tenyo Magic World set released a few years back. It was recently released in the Tenyo My First Money Magic Mini set.....its a great little visual addition to put in your collection cabinet!

I will post some pics of my sets soon.....waiting for a classic one to arrive from Tokyo as we speak!

Here is a Tenyo set I acquired earlier this year! What makes it nice is that it comes with a variation of the Finger Chopper made in a stunning deep fuschia color. It also includes the magic hat from Mystery of the High Hat, but in blue, and is used to produce Mr. Rabbit.

Always liked that set. Chock full if nice colorful goodies and even it's own stage.
I don't have one yet but it's definitely on my wishlist. :)

The coin tray was invented by Hofzinser and has appeared in numerous magic sets over the past 100 years.

The same year it was in that Tenyo set it also appeared in a Presto magic set from Pressman toys in the US.
