Found these two Tenyo puzzles.
Both puzzles have the exact same 13 pieces. Yet the one on the left has 65 possible solutions while the one on the right only has two. Interesting how adding a simple pattern negates almost all possible combinations.

If I'm not wrong Elliot, these are Pentomino puzzles. I have a few of them, you can build 2 and 3D figures.

Found this odd Tenyo item a little while ago. Thought it was a typical Art Bank but turns out there was no coin slot on top. Took me a while to figure out what it was not having these things around my house at all.

The Dracula Bank is a magic trick. The coins vanish even though you can see completely inside. Same thing with Art Bank.

Just curious, but does anyone know of any other interesting uses that Tenyo came up with for the "floating object in a mirror box" besides for banks, double worlds, ashtrays, and pencil sharpeners?

Did they do the star wars box? I think Burger King released it in the late 90s. Half yoda half vader

That is what Tenyo calls a "Double World". Although I don't think Tenyo made the Star Wars boxes. They just granted a license to whichever company made it.

My yoda/vader box has "Tenyo" stamped on it.

It is REALLY difficult to find any of the original Double World boxes from Tenyo. I don't have any, nor do I know anyone in Japan (except Tenyo) who has them.

I'm pretty sure the Star Wars one was just a licensing deal and that it was made in China.

I have the Mickey Double World from Disneyland but I haven't been able to find any of the original ones anywhere. Saw one in an auction once but it ended up going for big $$$. I was a bit surprised by that as I didn't realize they were that rare.

Ji Ga Zo

Have any of you seen this one?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p4o9Nt7vGGQ

It's a jigsaw puzzle that can be recreated to assimilate whatever picture you upload into the included software. This is the Hasbro version, and it is credited to Kenneth C. Knowles, Mark Setteducati, and Tenyo Co., Ltd. The beauty of it is that a single puzzle can be created, and recreated, over and over again.

There is also a Japanese version with 520 pieces (which I ordered, and am now looking forward to receiving).

I already have the 300 piece American version. It's pretty darn cool. Andy (from The Jinx blog) turned me on to the idea, for which I am most grateful.

His blog post can be found HERE: http://www.thejerx.com/blog/2017/1/22/r ... ?rq=jigazo

Thoughts? Ideas...?

So cool...thanks for sharing EvanS. Lego is also launching the Lego Mosaic. But somehow Ji Ga Zo looks cooler than Lego.
