ADDING AN IMAGE FILE FROM YOUR COMPUTER

1. When you are creating a post, look below the window where you enter the type for a Tab called "Upload attachment." Click on the "Upload attachment" tab.

2. Click on the "Choose File" button.

Alternative to step 2: You can drag and drop your file over the "Choose File" button and then click on the "Add the file" button. Then continue from step 5.

3. Navigate to the file on your computer and click on the "Choose" button.

4. When you are returned to the Upload Attachment window, click on the "Add the file" button.

5. You will then see the file name and a button called "Place inline" right under the text window.

6. You can put your cursor anywhere in the text box and the click on the "Place inline" button and code will be added to the text.

7. When you "Preview" the post or "Submit" the post, you will see the image.

8. If you do not "Place inline" the image(s) then they will be added to the bottom of the post.

You can add as many as five, 1 meg files in a post and two 1 meg files in a PM (Personal Message).

ADDING A IMAGE FROM THE INTERNET

1. Locate the file using your browser and then right click on it.

2. Choose the option "Copy Image Address"

3. When in the post text window, click on the "Img" button along the top.

The buttons on the top are for various BBCodes which are short cuts for enhancing your posts. If you hover over the BBCode buttons, it will give you a sample syntax for that BBCode.

4.

Code: Select all

Will be inserted in the text window and then you paste the Image Address that you right click copied between the two middle brackets "]["

5. When you "Preview" or "Submit" the post you will see the image from the internet embedded in your post right where the "img" BBCode was entered.

You can embed as many images as you want because they are not stored on the server. They link to the actual file on the website where you found it.
