Re: New Belgian Tenyo-collector, infected beyond repair
Hi Niels......welcome from sunny France and from not so sunny Scotland (I'm originally from Scotland). Bill.

Hi BillD, a Scotsman as a neighbour...nice to meet you. What is your collection like? Only the ones you like best, or a complete collection (as complete as can be)? And do you perform, or are just interested in the 'mechanics'?
Re: New Belgian Tenyo-collector, infected beyond repair
Hi Niels.......a bit about myself from my introduction to the forum last year.......I am a "Member of the Magic Circle" (London) and IBM (International and British Ring). My magic interests are varied, but unfortunately, I have limited opportunities to perform nowadays. I like to collect quality magic effects and over the years I have managed to put together a good collection from inventors, such as: Richard Gerlitz, Anverdi, Alan Warner, Kent Bergmann, Owen Magic Supreme, Wayne Mattox, Outlaw Effects, Lebanon Circle Magic, Magic Wagon, Collectors Workshop / Viking, François Danis, Thomas Pohle - to name but a few.....and of course Tenyo.
From a collectors perspective, I like to buy the new Tenyo effects when they come out each year.......but, I did go through a phase a few years ago of buying / collecting some of the unused (sealed) older discontinued effects, which I keep meaning to catalogue.
When I retired to France with my wife two years ago I was hoping to have plenty of time to focus on magic, but my other passion, rock drumming, has become the key activity in my life, especially now that I am a member of a new local band…..we are currently practicing a lot and have a few gigs planned. Bill.

Re: New Belgian Tenyo-collector, infected beyond repair
Simon, I have been playing drums on and off for about 30 years. I had actually hung up my sticks when I left the UK, but the urge was still there, and as they say, the rest is history. However, I am still trying to get used to some of the French rock classics and at the same time convert the others in the band to some traditional rock music.
Sounds like you need to make another trip to the south (if you can) and bring your instruments with you.

What's in a Tenyo Band name?
Aren't Bands fun?
I've made a living playing music for many many years.
No regrets, wouldn't change a thing.

Simon, YOU have a fabulous voice!
I haven't heard your entire band, but it would naturally be awesome with you in it.
Having the RIGHT people, with checked egos, is usually the big hurdle with a Band.
