What's everyone's favorite Tenyo trick?
Re: What's everyone's favorite Tenyo trick?
Oh My Gosh, Jason is a pip.
Just read through this and couldn't stop chuckling.
You guys have a lot more patience then I do.

First off, what's a pip? Secondly, what's so bad about what I'm doing? I saw that you have Card Surgery and 4-Dimensional Trunk for sale for $60 altogether, and I saved over $12 for them by putting them in my shopping cart on eBay. I'm just not interested in add-ons. I don't see the necessity in them.

I don't believe anyone said what you're doing is wrong.
Here's the thing. The add ones are meant to enhance and be able to present the trick in a different way.
I've been trying to build routines for several Tenyo (and presentations of other non-Tenyo tricks) for quite some time.
To me, Card Surgery is tough to present by the nature of what you're doing: restoring a card piece by piece.
The 'frog' add-on gives the trick the ability to make it more relevant to the audience. Now you can present it with a sort of science/classroom dissection spin. Even if it's just for friends and family, it'll be much easier to present it with the frog than the playing card.
Where's my colon?!

Yes the frog add-on does give a nice way to do patter, but Copperfield didn't need an add-on to do the torn and restored baseball card trick.

Not sure what a pip is. I think Ralph Kramdem used to call Ed Norton that on the Honeymooners TV show.
You are doing nothing wrong.
Many of us have tried to help you but it never seems to work out, but we are good fellows and will never give up.
Here's a offer that you may like:
I will match the price of the two tricks in your shopping cart and the shipping price as well.
AND
I will throw in the add-ons for both Card Surgery and 4 Dimensional Trunk so you can get an idea what add-ons are all about.

That's amazing Jason I strongly suggest you accept John's kind offer!

Re: What's everyone's favorite Tenyo trick?
I am. I sent him a PM saying I'd be able to pay for the tricks a week from Friday. Though it might be Saturday when I send the money. I'm not entirely without money because I get $20 a week for spending. I know that's only $40, and John's offer comes to more than that, but I have ten dollars left over from when I bought that book of stamps for Steve to get Crazy Spots.

Archie Bunker used to call Edith a real PIP.

Well I eliminated everything from my eBay shopping cart except Mystery of the High Hat. I found that one for only $8.08 free shipping.

Does Tenyo's spoon bending trick require any setup? I remember watching an Asian guy who was into mentalism doing spoon bending tricks and restoring them, and he would hand the spoons out for examination. He even gave bent ones to people to keep. I won't ask how it's done, but can Tenyo's spoon bending trick be done with any spoon?

Re: What's everyone's favorite Tenyo trick?
Simon, I think both questions can be answered with YES.
Re: What's everyone's favorite Tenyo trick?
Ooh I'd forgotten about the first question which is definitely a yes!
The second I suppose is half and half depending on your spoons

I saw a demo of it on video, and it wasn't as impressive as the way that one guy was doing it. You may have heard of him. I believe he had the same name as me, and his last name was Nu or something. He would do it in a way that would make spoons bend instantly.
