You offered one prize and I offered two. 1+2=3 not 4

I think there are three prizes.

That is a good idea that the winners can choose in order which prize they want.

I think the Sakkaku Scale is the best because it is genuine Tenyo.

Oh, I see! You are entering your Black Box into the contest. Ohhh...my mistake.

So, we do indeed have 3 prizes. Got it! :)

I seem to be in a tizzy today for some reason. It could be because I picked up a new prescription this morning and thought the label said take 10 every four hours. I looked again after my second 10 and realized it said take 1 every four days. :o

When I saw Simon's other submissions I was going to suggest to him to submit Silent Witness. That is my favorite of Simon's creations that I have.
Agreed. Stunning in every aspect!

We seem to be experiencing the law of diminishing returns but I want to give members who did not see this yet or have not had the time to respond an opportunity to do so.

I would like to end the contest this Friday and then announce the winners Saturday. We have 3 prizes and so far, 6 applicants. At this point, half of those who entered will win something.

My goal is to come up with a fair and appropriate process in determining the winners and how the prizes are distributed. I welcome any suggestions...

Thanks all!

I'd like to submit my "Die Dye Tube" to the contest, which is as you all know based on Tenyo's Ultra Tube:

It must be Friday somewhere so, the time has come to make some difficult decisions concerning this contest. I say difficult because everyone who participated had some terrific entries and the idea of selecting just 3 is quite a task. It seems that one approach and perhaps the most important factor is to consider the word “makeover” and select three entries which were closest to the definition of the word. In addition, the amount of effort in creating the makeover should be a factor. All 3 winners preferably hand crafted their creations.

Therefore, the winners are Clyde, Herman, and Sheldon. Wait a minute! We don’t have members with those names. The winners are Victor, David, and PeterW. Honorable mention goes to everyone else who entered. Nice work all of you!

Victor won SAKKAKU SCALE, David won BIRD BRAIN, and PeterW won THINK A DRINK. Please PM me if you already own your prize and we will work something out.

I will need Victor’s mailing address and John will need David and PeterW’s mailing address.

Thank you to all who participated! Next time I do a contest, I will do one where the winner(s) are chosen by submitting a correct answer as opposed to choosing via my opinion. That way, I will not run the risk of hurting anyone’s feelings. :( This ended up being a worthwhile learning experience for yours truly...

I am truly delighted by all of the positive remarks received as a result of the contest! Typical of the kind of dialogue we have come to know here on this pleasant forum.

Once again, thank you John for your contributions making the contest even better as a result.

It’s big time fun seeing what our members are capable of in both creating and crafting... :)
