Help me! Are these things Tenyo tricks?
Someone contacted me that he has some Tenyo items for sale. He attached pictures. And I cannot identify these items. He states that these are genuine Tenyo items, but he lost the instructions and boxes.
Whad to you think: Are these things Tenyo tricks? Are they genuine?

The little brass box on the lower left corner looks like a brass version of Little Savings box. But were there ever a rass version made by tenyo? Below that maybe a dynamic cions set? And left to it an appearing coin effect (like the working of Merlin's Coffer).
And I do know the trick with the coins penetrating the tubes on the upper left side, but it is a Tenyo effect? It does not look like Tenyo.
I have no idea what the others could be.

The first (Coin In Tube) and third (Miracle Separation) I think are Tricks Co.
The Miracle Separation is one of the more sought after Tricks Co. tricks worth maybe $100 mostly because of this video:
The fourth looks to be Dynamic Coins but they were made by many and no easy way to determine if they were made by Tenyo.
The fifth looks to be a magic coaster type item that many people think is by Tenyo but it is not.
The sixth looks to be a knockoff of Parabox without the sponges.
The second I don't know what it is but looks to be like a coin coaster. Don't know of that existing even in the Tenyo professional line but there were many products released that way.

As far as I know, Tenyo never made a brass Little Saving Box.kellebotond wrote:The little brass box on the lower left corner looks like a brass version of Little Savings box. But were there ever a rass version made by tenyo?
Hard to see with the small picture what this is. It looks to have concentric rings on the lid but hard to make out. It may be a Match through Coin.
See if you can get a better picture of it.

I sold a few Miracle Sperations a year or two ago (to Roberto for example) for less then 100 USD - I believe 100 USD is a bit overestimated, however since their have been few available the last year the price may be higher.
I believe non of the items in the pictures(s) is manufactured by Tenyo (apart from the abvious ones like Squeeze Play).

Re: Help me! Are these things Tenyo tricks?
Thanks guys. I'm not really interested in Tricks. co. items. I only have a coin fan from them (I once bought it because I tought it was Tenyo - it was said to be Tenyo by the seller). So I'll skip on that ones. Besides from those the seller only has very common tenyo items without boxes and instructions.
I do not konw if some sellers really do not know the difference between Tricks. co. items and Tenyo items, or they intentionally want to sell them as Tenyo.

I would be interested in the Miracle Separation if it is not too expensive.
The metal coin coaster is a Tannen's effect. It uses two coins of different sizes.

He offered me to buy these as a lot (along with 5 other Tenyo tricks: Soft coins, Squeese play, Eclipse, Lancelot and Unusual Suspects). All without boxes and description. He asks 400 USD for all.
I can ask if he would sell items separately if you like.

Re: Help me! Are these things Tenyo tricks?
John, I asked the seller about miracle separation: He only wants to sell the whole thing as a lot. I informed him, that most of the items are not Tenyo.
Thanks for your help guys.

Is the Tricks Co. effect 'Miracle Separation' still in production? I am unfamiliar with Tricks Co.

Great article David thanks does anyone have a high resolution pic/scan of the the tricks co. Logo? (Question mark in hat and bow tie) I love it and as a graphics geek I'm always collecting good examples especially from the 50s 60s and 70s.

I just looked quickly at the Tricks Co tricks and documents I have and in every case they use the logo very small. So a high res logo might be hard to find.SimonC wrote:Great article David thanks does anyone have a high resolution pic/scan of the the tricks co. Logo?
Here is a cleaned up logo from the cover of the 1st Catalog.
