Re: T-123 Billscape
The previous two years these were very rarely for sale.
This year there has been at least a dozen of them for sale all within the last couple of months.
The last one sold for $56 which is really low.
Hopefully the price will stay low so many of you who don't have it can now afford to get it.

Re: T-123 Billscape
love this trick, Classic tenyo thinking, stripped down to an elegant design, a great idea backed up by a well thought out routine.
This was the first tenyo I think I reverse engineered, tho I found out id made it more complicated than I'd needed. Fortunately rob made his skill babe and now I have a perfectly working version with the addition if a handy case to carry it in

Re: T-123 Billscape
Does anyone know what the color of the rubber bands were?
None of the rubber bands survived and no on that I know has opened a new one.
Maybe I should open my sealed one to see what the color of the rubber bands are.

I've had a quick look around online but can't shed any light in the rubber bands. Perhaps an opening ceremony is in order

Re: T-123 Billscape
I believe the color of the rubber bands on Roberto' video is light grey.
And thank you Simon for mentioning my famous Skill Babe
Like you saw (and the ones that own a SB) I use 2 different colors, 2 small ones and 1 larger one. This took me an elaborate research, so now I have about 10.000 rubber bands in my drawers

PS I have still 2 Skill Babes left, so anyone who is interested can PM me.
If not, they go in the big auction after 5 years I'm pretty sure Mr RK will be interested

Re: T-123 Billscape
At least I have rubber bands in different colors, that gives more variation

Re: T-123 Billscape
john when I opened up my Billscape in 1997 [my first one] the rubber bands were a pinky color, they wernt like rubber bands though they were slightly thicker and not so stretchy if I remember rightly.
Re: T-123 Billscape
Were they kind of like the black bands they use currently?

Re: T-123 Billscape
Billscape ... another effect performed by our Roberto that got me seriously 'into' Tenyo Up untill today I believe, when performed correct (does take a tiny bit of practice), this is one of the best and perhaps even the best trick Tenyo ever invented.
I believe the routines that are described in the (extensive) manual are great as they are. You can of course change the credit card with any similar object. I like John's "Thanks for the $20 - Jack Ass" card for example.
About the bands, when I opened my first Billscape I threw them away (because of a reaction with oxygen rubber bands tend to become brittle). They were not your standard brownish color, and I believe Gaz is correct when he sais they weren't 'real' rubber bands, that's all I can remember. I do have another unopened one but I won't be opening it to see what color the rubber bands have

Re: T-123 Billscape
Yeah, rubber bands never last. Just got a brand new sealed item with a rubber band that looked to be in good condition but fell apart as soon as I touched it. Old rubber bands also tend to stain the apparatus as well. A while ago I bought a used Penetro Coin. The seller had left the rubber bands on for what was probably decades. The decomposing rubber bands stained the white handkerchief and bag that it came with. So the moral is don't leave your rubber bands on your tricks when you put them away.
The other Tenyo item that doesn't last is the old sponge balls/dogs. I find they also disintegrate into sponge dust.
As far as Billscape is concerned my son likes to do the credit card routine but vanish the bill instead of pulling it out. He also likes to combine it with Mystery Poodle.
Basically put the bill in and then set your guard dog on top to protect it. When the dog starts barking you check the bill and sure enough it is gone. Luckily the thief accidentally left his credit card behind.

Re: T-123 Billscape
Thanks for that (great) routine Elliot
By the way, another item that doesn't last are the rubber sheets in the Coin And Glass trick - they became one hard mess of black plastic!

Re: T-123 Billscape
The bands on the used one I have were the black plastic ones. They had deteriorated and I spent a lot of time getting the residue off.
