VIDEO of T-161 Parabox

Post by JohnM » Sat Aug 02, 2014 3:07 am

This to me is the greatest Tenyo video for many reasons.

FIrst and Foremost it is Paul Daniels, a well know, respected magician performing a Tenyo.

He mentions that any kid could get this in a magic shop.

He performs the trick just as in the instructions.

I think it was David De Tenyo who first brought this to our attention.

Thank you my man, anything with the "©John Mazza" is coming out of the work being prepared for Planet Tenyo. There will be more info on Planet Tenyo coming soon in the members only section.

The next Focus on Tenyo will be devoted to you Gaz, I will pick one of my nicer T-number pictures from Planet Tenyo.

The trick is brilliant in simplicity and execution.

At least, I was completely amazed when I first saw videos of Parabox being performed.

While the actual 'gimmick' isn't too hard to figure out. The real magic is in how it's actually performed; like all magic. But Parabox, I believe is strictly all about performance.

When done correctly, the trick looks like a monster knockout.

Another combination and modification of Gozinta Box, The Driebeck Die.
Well, I still love the original routine with the sponge balls.

Parabox is excellent, one of my favourites. I didn't take it on holidays with me because I only have one, and while the balls can be substituted quite easy (?) I have yet to find boxes that match the original Tenyo ones.
If anyone has a mint or used (with or without package) Parabox for sale or trade let me know please :)

This is absolutely great presentation on performing Parabox. This time not the close up version....but really a big one. It is unfortunately in German language but still something you can really enjoy. Any idea how he did that ? :) Ladies and gentlemen....I present you Simon Pierro from Germany.

I consider this one of the best Tenyo trick ever. Who was the one who voted 04 OK? I'm just curious why?

Maybe it was Brett H who is trying to buy a Parabox. Clever strategy to drive the price down. ;)

I gave it a seven, I think if I could use the MIB memory eraser and watch the trick as a layman I'd go crazy for it, I just can't switch my brain off to the method so I can't rate it objectively. It's almost paraboxical ;)

I wish that my opinion could make things affordable.

I gave the thing a 9 as I think it's a monster of a trick when performed correctly--but you can't hand out the boxes. I'm still amazed seeing it done, then again, I'm still have that innocent laymen mentality going about tricks; I guess I'm lucky that I'm not looking at tricks trying to analyze how they work.

But I will side with Simon that Parabox is a bit of a hard one to 'erase from memory'. This trick is the reason why I stopped looking at youtube videos of tricks and watching the same one 800 times trying to figure it out.

Such a simple effect with such a simple method. But truly startling!
