The people around you are worried. Whether you think they are or aren't. The attention they put towards you and your actions mean they care. What's first is to admit you have a problem or/and that your headed down the wrong road.

If your headed down the road of alcoholism, you'll end up either on the streets or a lazy dumb. a down fall of society. shameful to your family name. Even if you don't consider yourself with a problem, consider this. 70% of adolescence with drinking problems have started as youngest as 13 years old.

Every person has a chance in life, whether you realize it or not. You pick your own destiny and you need a mind that is not clouded up. Alcohol, whether an "addict" or not, does have effects on you. Deny if you want, but the damage is done.

There are many organized groups dedicated to help addicts of all ages. Surely your Family and loved ones will be there to support and help you through this hard time in your life. Say something. Do something, before its too late. But if you are still breathing, its never too late.

For many people, even small changes to the way you drink can make a big difference in reducing the negative effects of alcohol.

  • Alcohol units
    -Know what a unit is and how many are in your drink.
  • Set targets
    -Decide how much you are going to drink before you go out and practice sticking to the target.
  • Water
    -Alternate your drinks with water to stay refreshed, and drink water before you go out so that you are not so thirsty.
  • Food
    -Having a bite to eat before or whilst drinking slows alcohol absorption.
  • Drink spacers
    -Soft drink "spacers" between drinks can help to pace an evening.
  • Day spacers
    -Have days in the week when you drink nothing.
  • Money limits
    -If you drink till the money is gone, take less money with you and leave the credit cards at home.
  • Switch drinks
    -Some drinks are much stronger than others, so switching from a strong drink to a weaker one can be an easy way to reduce your units.
  • Top ups
    -Avoid top ups so that you can keep track of your unit intake.
  • Driving
    -Think about how you're going to get home before you leave home - take a licensed cab or designate a driver.
  • Quit the rounds
    -Avoid rounds, they encourage you to drink more than you would like out of loyalty to your friends.
  • Choose your company
    -If you know you will drink a lot with some people, try and avoid always going out with them.
