In the 1960’s, as Tenyo was expanding, they started making novelties. This tradition continues to this day. The novelties include clocks, banks, puzzles, pranks and toys. Tenyo’s Jigsaw puzzles are among the finest in the world. Most of the Tenyo puzzles have a Disney theme but they have also starting making puzzles with Marvel Comics characters. Besides standard Jigsaw puzzles, Tenyo also makes a variety of specialty puzzles including one that you view with your ipad camera when completed and animated fireworks go off in the background of the puzzle. Tenyo won an award for that type of puzzle at a recent Japanese toy fair. Puzzles and novelties account for a majority of what Tenyo makes and sells.
